Firstly, the Mob Vote, sadly the Penguin lost although it's not really a surprise as the winner was the Armadillo, which will give players access to craft Wolf Armour. I know, I know, their naming on things makes no sense. Wolf armour from an Armadillo — okay then.
I likes Armadillos! Smooth on the inside, crunchy on the outside! ARMADILLOS! [External Link]

The Indie Horror Game Showcase from DreadXP runs on October 19

It always surprises people that I like the occasional horror-game, but I do*, so I'll be checking this one out.

*Currently a bit miffed about Konami going totally silent about the Silent Hill 2 remake, but they barely promote any of their IPs, so it's by no means an issue exclusive to that game - it'll show up when it shows up, and this event should be great in the meantime.

Quoting: grigiI'm in Batch 1 for FW 16. I'll consider doing a writeup for it when I get it. Probably only in 2 months.

My kind of writeup will probably be things like... does it suspend, have weird errors, other power management issues, etc...
I'd love to see that - I hope you do so.

Quoting: wvstolzingI mean, they made Conker's Bad Fur Day -- how do you top that?

(only joking, of course.)
HAHAHAHA! I would've linked to the "Great Mighty Poo" song here, but it's so crass that I'm pretty sure it's against half the rules of the universe, never mind GOL.

Rare were an extremely influential game-developer, and your opinion on their output doesn't change the facts that I stated above.

They've obviously forgotten (or never knew) the outcome for the Rare and Argonaut libraries.
we got KI and Battle Toads, sea of thiefs, and a new Perfect Dark coming most of rare top games where nintendo exclusives, so what we forgot?
The Argonaut titles [External Link], for starters. (After Argonaut's bankruptcy in 2004, their IPs were bought back and transferred to its founder's other company. Their company after that one was Ninja Theory [External Link], which Microsoft bought in 2018.)

Seriously, though, Rare made [External Link] a lot more [External Link] than the few titles you've named plus their handful of Nintendo exclusives, even once you filter out the licensed content from the period where they mainly acted as programmers-for-hire. Getting bought out severely reduced their output, and completely changed the character of what little remained.

Well done you absolute dunces. This is your greatest misstep since allowing GAME to buy Gamestation, thus removing any meaningful competition from UK games-retail because you could buy FIFA at Asda.

Steam Deck SteamOS 3.5.1 Preview fixes backlight staying on when docked

Fixed a case where the desktop could be empty and apps would fail to launch.
Good to see! I've encountered this one and it gave a poor first impression of desktop-mode.

Disabled HDR exposure in "My Little Pony: A Maretime Bay Adventure" as it enables it without rendering in HDR.
In before anyone acts like this is an odd choice to devote dev-time to - if this endeavour is to succeed like consoles do, then Valve needs to hook the family market.

Quoting: Liam DaweThe developer only seems to have posted about it on their Steam forum [External Link] but not in any announcement.
That is possibly the most ironically-titled game that this could've happened to.
