All the bad memories about Sega racing games from my childhood reemerge just buy watching this video. :( It is so good now days that you are not forced to play game you do not like because it is so hard to get a new game. I always thought that most people do not like this 2D style racing games but if this will pass greenlight then I must be wrong.

It would be cool if someone else replaced AMD in video card market and started to compete with nvidia and would do it much more better.

A monopoly never benefits you as a consumer. You want Steam to have competition, believe it or not.
I do not think that Desura was considered competitor buy steam at any given point in time. Competitions is god but when it is this weak it is meaningless.

Valve Finally Have A Proper Refund Policy For Steam
3 Jun 2015 at 11:23 am UTC

Quoting: someoneFrom the policy:
Refunds on Pre-Purchased Titles
When you pre-purchase a title on Steam (and have paid for the title in advance), you can request a refund at any time prior to release of that title. The standard 14-day/two-hour refund period also applies, starting on the game's release date.
Interesting if it is working same with early access games. Or release date for those games will be date when they entered early access

Steam Replaces The Linux Tux Logo With SteamOS

Quoting: AryvandaarWhat I was saying is that the bugs I've come across I have tested on multiple distributions on my PC, Ubuntu, Mint, Funtoo, Debian, Arch, Opensuse, etc, and discovered that most of these bugs are not related to non Ubuntu, non Debian distributions.
I think you overdid things. Normally non-indy developers do not need people to test there games on many different distros only on those which they are supporting. So adding information that you tested something on anything what they do not support is actually not beneficial. Because usually those people which accepts bugs and those which fix them aren't the same people and they are flowing strict procedures

Steam Replaces The Linux Tux Logo With SteamOS

Quoting: AryvandaarIf you have a functional Linux OS Steam games should work on all. Most of the bugs I've come across have not been specific to non Ubuntu, non Debian and non SteamOS distributions, and when I have informed some developers of this with a detailed report of testing various distributions with the same parameters and re-creating the bug they say "we only support Ubuntu, Debian and SteamOS".

That ignorance has to stop, and I think Valve is making matters worse, they are enforcing this attitude.

The fact that they aren't calling it Steam Linux is a testament to them not caring one bit for Linux as a whole.
No this is the only way to go and SteamOS only improve that. Developers do not need to waist there time and money to test other distributions. No normal company will ever install all Linux distributions to test all bugs. They will install and test only one ore two. Even if bug is common to all Linux distributions developer do not need to waist it's time to check it out. That's why when you buy the game it is specified which platforms it is supporting and developers need to focus only on those platforms.

Linux Drops Below 1% On The Steam Hardware Survey

I blamed GTA V for this too :D. I do not like that game myself but I know many people who logged in again in steam only because of GTA V.

Quoting: liamdaweThere must be something to KDE, i need to give it another go, and I'm still surprised Cinnamon is so low!
For me Cinnamon crashes too much so I use unity for my main gaming PC. I still keep Mint installed on my father computer and check time to time what changed but for now it is working worse than Ubuntu :(

Quoting: Xpanderi myself like to get games automatically updaded and so on.. and if steam dies some time in the future, those games probably arent worth to play anyway anymore..
Yes I would not cry too much over it because I barely play my old games and boxed games are extremely inconvenient they brake and you can so easy to lose them when giving them to others. I even don't know where half of my game DVD-s and CD-s have left :(

Dota 2 Managed To Hit Over 1 Million Players

I respect valve for supporting Linux platform in Dota 2. I even played it few times. But I just did not like that it had so big learning curve (I played LoL before) an I just could not stand how the heroes look.
