GOL Survey Results: March

No, there are no proprietary drivers for Intel (I usually make a joke about that). The survey allows people to answer "incorrectly" for that one since I don't know how to prevent it. I assume that it's basically just Intel users who assume that their drivers are proprietary because they've never looked into it. Just shows that not all Linux users are super clued-up about that stuff, I kinda like it, breaking stereotypes or whatever :).

Quoting: liamdaweThanks, great as always. Can't wait to see next month since the amount we have for that already dwarfs this one :DYup, over 2000 already... I think that's almost entirely down to Reddit. Already noticed a few "anomalies" as well, so seems like the Reddit and GOL "crowds" are a bit different. I think Unity is higher than KDE on that one for example.
Something I only just noticed, does Intel actually have any proprietary driver for their GPU? I thought all their GPU drivers for Linux were open?

Not really surprised at the article with the highest views considering that's probably some of the biggest news we've had in a long time.
Btw Liam, is 44k a record for an article on GOL? Seems like a crazy number :).

This looks pretty good actually. I'm a big fan of business sims (guilty pleasure) and despise football so quite like the generic sport idea. Just hope of those "25 teams from 25 countries" or whatever, they don't do the standard American thing where 15 of those are teams in the US and then I can't play as Argentina...

Paradox Believe Great Games Fight Piracy

Good philosophy to follow. Also, by making great games people will be more likely to want to "reward" the developer by purchasing. With Paradox, I have "rewarded" them with so much money over the years it's silly :P.
Also if anyone is interested, I made a forum thread dedicated to Paradox games. Please check it out :)

Awesome! Downloading it now :)
I don't care if it's eON, as long as it runs fine. It's not an ideal solution, but with games that have been around for a while it's a simpler solution than porting the whole thing over. As long as we don't start seeing it for new releases, it's fine by me.
