Valve give Steam developer and publisher pages a little extra visibility
30 May 2025 at 1:58 am UTC Likes: 1

When they first brought in publisher pages it blocked the ability to search up a particular developer on click.
If developers have these konds of pages then all fine and dandy but sometimes I just wanna see a quick list but then I get sent to the publisher page instead, meh.

Now if we coukd just use publisher and developer names as tags in our libraries.
Making custom collections is a little bit of a chore.
You can make one for "Birds" though.
Maybe little unrelated.

More dev page visability is a good thing though regardless.

Minecraft will finally let you craft saddles instead of hunting for them

It was always odd not to be able to craft saddles and often times I'd just not bother with horses in general cause of it.
It was meant as a reward in the earlier veraions but it is strange it continued on all this time till now.
I think most players just put in a cheat for it anyway if they couldnt find one, or maybe just me cause I very rarely found a saddle or a horse together for most of my play sessions, least till villagers selling items abd in turn saddles was a thing.
Guess we'll see more gold horse armor mods for avm little while tobcelebrate the change heh.

Denuvo will lock you out of games on Linux, SteamOS, Steam Deck if you keep changing Proton versions

Game isnt really released till Denuvo is removed.
I'll just wait for the game and its DLC to be in a bundle for cheap then wait for Denuvo to be removed whats the rush?

Part of why I skip on Sega games Im excited for too but they dont always remove Denuvo so I wait for a steep steep discount instead then forget tbe game exists.

They lose an earlier purchase from me and Im sure they dont care so hey I dont care either, dont need to buy the game anytime soon, buh bye.

Plenty of indie boomer shooters to play anyway.

Also Doom Classic still holds up well and I do prefer it over the new Dooms, even as I play it for the epteenth thousandths time.

Try Reelism 2 mod its infinitely fun.

HP are interested in making a SteamOS handheld as the Windows experience sucks
25 Mar 2025 at 9:09 pm UTC

It better print my achievements as badges and stickers if they want my money cause I hardly trust their printers right now.

Still a good sign to see more variants of the handhelds but I'm very happy with the Steam Deck's everything.
Hopefully we see more replicas of the Steam Deck controls and featires istead of the standard ugly Switch layout, hurts my palms.

Thiugh if HP could do something different and unique I'd be happy to see it.

Maybe serious about the printing heh.
They could try OLED trackpads anf more grip buttons, dual stage triggers, a pen or a second screen maybe.

Heh who am I kidding they'll make the buttons out of paper and force ya to sign uo for a subscription to get new ones.

Team Fortress 2 Classic is coming to Steam thanks to Valve adding TF2 to the Source SDK
25 Feb 2025 at 10:33 am UTC

I've missed classic TF2 before all the items and loot boxes.
Actually excited to see this do well and the new modes sound fun.
Hopefully some cosmetics cross over just to mix things up a little.

Hope to see a single/co-op mod eventually too among other weird mods.
This should be fun.

Dang that sold out super fast.
They need to secure more keys for these.
I would have bit for Little Kitty Big City alone and an extra copy of Confent Warning for a friend.

Tangle wood is also really good and comes with the Mega Drive/Genesis rom even.

Wingspan is also good with friends and while very calming can be super competitive.

If only they'd restock and sell it again but until next deal I suppose.

Gotta act super fast on these, wonder if they atleast hinted toward it first.
Maybe on their Discord server I bet.

Fingers crossed for an encore.

What Valve would need to do to make a Steam Console a success
6 Feb 2025 at 10:31 pm UTC Likes: 1

Team up with FrameWork and make a modular TV box with easy to upgrade Graphics/cpu.
Start it out super cheap low graphics so casual gamers can jump in.
Include a pointing solution for casual mouse use (a vr motion control without the vr) on top of a Steam Controller 2.
A dock option for Steam Deck users to sync data and stream with/to.

If its cheap and easy to get into and upgrade modules are easy to install, works just like a Steam Deck, bam would do wonders.

Atleast I'd want to biy one woth an upgrade for myself and one for my folks who just wanna play solitaire and dont wanna use a controller but also cant grasp the concept of regular console so well.

Yes I'm kinda borrowing a bit from the Wii but you gotta admit that pointing system had a lot of potential and here we have advanced versions of motion controls used just for VR use when a cheaper for everyone casual option could exist.

At the very least a cheap entry Steam Console would allow me to make that setup myself since well, a PC so I can dk what I want.

Atari announced Breakout Beyond, a fresh spin on the classic from the devs of BIT.TRIP

I've seen way better but it doesnt look bad.
Always good to have more brick breaker games but I do wish they tried to be a little more imagitive.
Whats beyond the bricks?
Nothing actually but, it sounds neat.

Just more brick breaking no Donkey Kong on Gameboy extending into a more complex game or anything.

Hopefully its not priced too high I may end up getting it on sale anyway.

Warner Bros platform fighter MultiVersus goes offline for good in May

They really should sell it as an offline game and make some of that money back but at least they'll leave it playable for those who still want it.

If it was sold as a complete package with peer to peer online I think it could still get a resurgence and cult audience.
