No. Proton/Wine works just fine, also currently, using XWayland on a Wayland desktop session.

Thanks, I think I heard recently (from the TLE youtube guy) that it was not possible, maybe I misunderstood it.

Wine just released an experimental driver for wayland, but I don't think thats usable for games.

If you run wayland you may have XWayland. XWayland it's a wrapper (from Xorg) for running to wayland.
Basically it starts an Xserver(Xorg), executes the program and renderizes to wayland instead of the screen.

If the hardware/driver is capable of wayland and you have xwayland should not be problems.

The system requeriments are insane. The previous one run fine with wine on hight with my ryzen 1600x,16GB ram, linux and slow spinning hard drive.
Also 150GB? When it finishes downloading they will have the next game released already.

Who cares about NPU? It's useless and even we don't have a driver or api to use it.

Still, I did a quick look at the source at it seems that it doesn't support linux, and vulkan is in development.
Hope someone manage to compile on linux and vulkan works. (And even make an opengl backend if possible).
But releasing the code is one start.

Next step is link all this sistems, and have to only promt "AI, please make for me a AAA game". And it will do it.
Nowadays I think it's a little bit more complicated. I haven't tested AI tools myself.
