Nice to see a Linux demo of the game, since I was a bit disappointed when it was Windows-only in the last Steam demo event.

Quoting: WJMazepasI've watched most of those movies, but still only knew Megan Fox as the developer of Hot Tin Roof and SkateBIRD, so I didn't understand the confusion. Must not have made a big impression on me then. :wink:Quoting: Liam DaweI almost believed that the Transformers actress started a gaming companyQuoting: WJMazepashttps://glassbottomgames.com/about/ [External Link]Megan Fox of Glass Bottom GamesWhat?

Quoting: 3zekielStadia unquestionably has more positive repercussions for us, since it forces developers to adapt to Linux and Vulkan, whereas Luna makes that completely irrelevant. No matter what you think of streaming, Stadia is clearly a better deal for our ecosystem than Luna or GeForce Now.Quoting: Liam DaweNot that it matters to the vast majority (us Linux fans don't count for much...) it's based on Windows https://twitter.com/JeffGrubb/status/1309271277325049856?s=20 [External Link]I wonder, should we jump on the stadia train for now? I mean, they are the only one who kinda support us for now... Do you think that a strong stadia will encourage more devs to go for Linux ?

A Linux demo is always a good sign, and great of them to put in the effort to release it before the end of the Indie Showcase event.

I gave it a quick try yesterday. It's working fine for me with Intel+Mesa, but is having issues with Nvidia on the same latop. Others report similar issues, but it seems like new updates are rolled out quickly, so hopefully it will be in good shape soon.
I'm also very happy to see that Ron Gilbert is sticking with Linux. He's such a well-known and respected developer that the ripple effect of his switch could be substantial among indie game developers.

Quoting: no_information_hereI appreciate you highlighting these smaller indie games. Lots of hidden gems out there.I also appreciate that. Deleveled was one of three "big" puzzle releases on Thursday, that was talked about quite a lot in a puzzle game Discord server I'm in; the other ones being The Golem and A Monster's Expedition. The developer of The Golem is hoping to put up a Linux version on Itch.io in the near future.

Quoting: SuperGripI'm not the biggest fan of the writing and characters, but they have some nice puzzles of the classic adventure game variety.Quoting: flesk:) Yeah, you're right, it is popular. I got a number of the Deponia games free sometime back but have not yet tried it, how would you rate the series?Quoting: SuperGripThis weekend started replaying "This is the Police", it's not a very popular game but I quite like it.It has more than 6000 user reviews and a "very popular" rating on Steam.
For comparison, the last Deponia game, which also came out in 2016, only has about a quarter as many user reviews, and is from a relatively well-known franchise.
Not trying to be argumentative, but making a point that a game can be considered popular even though it's not mainstream.
And even if it isn't, don't feel bad for liking a game that most people don't like.

They also have an upload client, similar to Itch's Butler: https://github.com/gamejolt/cli [External Link]
It wasn't as convenient to use with CI/CD the last time I used it (for a game jam). That was a couple of years ago though, so it might have matured in the meantime.

Quoting: PublicNuisanceItch really deserves more praise then they get. They are one of only two open source clients for Linux. GOG never released a Linux client; Steam won't open source their Linux client or their engines; Epic won't make a Linux client. So many Linux users seem to want to use a client but pass up the one that goes the extra mile and open sources their work. Also worth mentioning that the other one is the Game Jolt client, in case someone doesn't know.
