Quoting: GuestSpeaking of which, this [External Link] is still in development! ^>.<^ Hurry uuuuuppppp lol
I've been following it for what feels like years, and I'm very excited about it too. They launched a new website a couple of weeks ago, so hopefully that means the release isn't too far off:

I'm also a backer of this game. :)

Physics-based 3D puzzler Human: Fall Flat released on Steam for Linux

Only the style and the ragdoll physics, according to the developer [External Link]:

In case you're interested, the inspiration for the game (not the animation) comes from Portal and Limbo.
I've not played Gang Beasts yet, but it's a fighting game, whereas this is a puzzle game.

Is it as fast-paced as it looks like in the trailer?

Quoting: PublicNuisanceThere's a DRM free version on Itch.io as well.
It even has a Linux demo there. :)

Timbertales, a cross platform turn based strategy on Steam Greenlight and Kickstarter

Quoting: RuffielyHey guys,

thank you for your feedback.
^ That's a good thing lots of developers on Kickstarter don't get right. Follow up on your outreach efforts.

Seeing how low the target is and how long you still have left of the campaign, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to turn things around in time by putting your shoulder behind it now.

Thanks for the heads-up. I don't think it looks bad at all, but not exactly my kind of game. I think the Kickstarter could use some more information about your plans for the different platforms are, since the focus seem to be mostly on iOS and Android, and it's not clear how it will scale to desktop platforms, or even what those "desktop" platforms are. I know Linux, Windows and Mac versions are planned because of the Steam Greenlight campaign, but it's not clear looking at the Kickstarter page. Also, this campaign came completely out of the blue to me, and I keep a rather keen eye on crowdfunding, so I'm not sure if enough was done in advance to raise awareness. Because of that, don't take it to hard if this first campaign isn't successful, since it will have been a great learning experience if you end up running a new campaign sometime in the future.

Quoting: PicoboomWouldn't the market be expanded for a game that had "permadeath" but also "traditional" play options? Wouldn't it allow "get gud" folks to enjoy the challenge of permadeath, while also allow more casual players to enjoy the game.
You'd think so, but not everyone feels that way [External Link].

I took the one-shot-death thing to mean that getting hit once meant you'd have to start just the current level over from the start, but I'm not sure.

Found another pair of interesting campaigns:

BFF or Die [External Link] - Co-op stage puzzler for 1-4 players. Has an alpha demo on itch.io [External Link] that I played a while back. I played it alone (one character per stick on a gamepad, if I remember correctly), but it seemed like a game that would be most fun with local co-op.

Beans: The Coffee Shop Simulator [External Link] - It is what it sounds like—a coffee shop tycoon, where you manage your coffee shops and train your staff to unlock new coffee drinks that they can make.

Quoting: ElectricPrismI dunno if I have any more hours in my day to now sift through Itch.io catalog, unless anyone has a pro tip on how to quickly sift through to their good games?
I have a collection of Linux games on itch that I've been plugging every now and then: https://itch.io/c/34969/linux-gems [External Link] It's not all tested though.
