SteamOS-like Linux package Bazzite 2.0 is out now for Steam Deck and desktop

That said, I wish they gave us an option to just view a diagram and then click the button that we want to remap. I get that the Steam Deck can't do that with its small screen size but PCs should at least get this.

Quoting: udekmp69I've been using it. As long as you don't have a stock 64GB Steam Deck, it's basically SteamOS 3.5 with the option of layering packages between updates. You do miss out on color options and HDR until Fedora gets that. Other than that it's pretty identical.Great! I might check it out then! SteamOS is cool and all but the sporadic updates has left me wanting a little more.
Quoting: dubigrasuI'm getting used to it, but in one place is still sorely lacking, and that is controller settings. The old BPM visual and intuitive gamepad settings were replaced with a cumbersome and convoluted mess of nested menus over menus. Probably useful for Steam Deck I suppose, where screen estate is premium, but, at least for me, useful only for basic profiles, the more advanced the profile I'm trying to set, the more lost I get.TBH, I don't like either. I tried using the old one and it was difficult to tell what buttons mapped to what. At least this one has some visual clarity.

I wonder if this works better than the official SteamOS on the Steam Deck, considering how long Valve is taking with 3.5. Maybe someone could test it

A lot of the comments are talking about the back button not being fixed. Does anyone care to enlighten me about what they're talking about?
Steam Deck Beta gets some essential bug fixes and new Gyro options

While I like the Gyro options, I wonder why they're working on it so much. I suppose they're trying to encourage developers to take a swing at it using Steam Input.

Quoting: reedloveWhen the high 90th percentile of everything else graphics related works just fine on NVIDIA hardware, there's no excuse.Honestly that's fair. They may not be as good as AMD but supposedly they work just fine. I think that they just don't want to encourage NVIDIA's laziness when it comes to Linux drivers. It's not a good excuse but AMD is their main focus now and I don't believe that they're working on a general SteamOS release right now.

likely won't work for Windows since the Steam Deck is just a Linux machine.Someone has put up a guide here [External Link].
Quoting: StoneColdSpiderDo publishers and developers honestly think everyone lives in massive cities???Yep. I guarantee you they do. Or they don't care.

Quoting: reedloveI do feel like at some point they need to stop blaming NVIDIA drivers for the crappy performance of Gamepad UI. Honestly, it feels intentional at this point.Considering that ChimeraOS has also given up on NVIDIA, I'm not sure Valve is exaggerating.
Slay the Spire devs release Dancing Duelists after abandoning Unity for Godot

Do NOT read the Steam community post's comments! There are so many people complaining about Slay the Spire 2 not being released yet or this game not being released on Steam (despite that publishing on Steam costs money and that this is a free jam game that they built in a few weeks).
