unique concept, I like the idea of it. Not sure if i'll have the time to play this though, unfortunately.
If I invest time in an MMO, I'm looking forward to trying out Albion Online eventually.

I guess 2016 may in fact be the "year of the linux desktop". It could be a good time for manufacturers like system 76 and Valve/Steam Machine to push for a little bit of advertisement, seeing how things are starting to grow a bit more quickly than ever. this could be a breakout time for GNU/Linux as a whole.
As long as it gets to be equal or better than Macs then Linux will be setting pretty nice.

oh freaking sweet. this is something I'll have to try my best to make some time for. It's been awhile since I've played an MMO. Played Guild Wars 2 from release day up until early 2014. I had a blast with the WvW style pvp, even though it really became more of a Zergfest. I was in a guild called Zombieland and then moved to the Shadow Gypsies when ZL broke up. Good times!
Would really like to take part in a GOL guild. this game seems like it will be a good GvG game. I'll probably wait until it's closer to final release though. to many games and not enough time right now :/ good times for Linux users though :)

great, I was starting to wonder, I seen it had the Mac logo and no SteamOS logo I was a bit disappointed. I really look forward to this release though. I'll keep it on the wishlist for now :)

the old launcher is fine, at least they are keeping it up to date. although I rarely play these days, ever once in a while when I get the wild hair to build something. but that's about it.
Epic Games founder thinks Microsoft will essentially break Steam in later versions of Windows 10

Quoting: Mountain Mannot as much, because before the commercials mainly I remember Windows PCs being thing, because Macs were being sold in stores and were referred to Mac PCs vs Windows PCs. But Steve Jobs wanted to make a distinct difference between the two with the commercials by simply stating Macs were *Macs* and Windows PCs were just PCs.Quoting: neowiz73I blame the Mac vs PC commercials for starting the paradigm of calling all windows based systems "PCs".It started long before that. "PC" has always been synonymous with Microsoft in one way or another for decades.

Once people realize what's going on with MS and their shenanigans more people will start to adopt Linux full time.
When it comes to gamers though, it's going to boil down to "if game X is available on Linux". PC gaming has supposedly been dropping year over year and it's all moving towards consoles and Mobile now.
MS has been trying so hard to be like Apple over the past 10 years. Why?, because Apple makes more money than MS, despite being a closed system end to end. MS 2015 earnings vs Apple's 2015 earnings shows Apple making $29 billion more than MS. this was a $9 billion increase in profits from the year before for Apple, while MS has been showing rocky gains and losses.
Eventually if the Linux market share doesn't gain some decent headway the hardware manufacturers will start to only make server hardware compatible for Linux while desktop hardware will be more tailored for Windows at the rate things are going. This i dread the most. I truly hope this doesn't ever happen. But it definitely looks to be something MS would really like to see happen. How likely? is the big question.
I'm not talking about universal hardware that's sold to the build it yourself crowd like myself (we are the minority), although not an impossibility to run into issues with more hardware going forward when installing Linux. This is mainly on the end of the manufacturers like Dell, HP, etc...

funny thing is I've owned these games (overlord, overlord: raising hell, and overlord II) from a bundle i bought a few years ago, it was back when i still had a windows partition. one of my close friends knew one of the developers of this game personally. I felt bad for not playing them, but hey... maybe I will soon :P
