Quoting: Linux_RocksParamount's new owners are even worse than the old ones too. So I'm not expecting anything to get any better either.
Once the merger between Paramount and Warner Brothers Discovery is complete, the new owner is going to be David Ellison, son of Larry Ellison. His dad put money into Trump's campaign and is friends with him, which should make it easy to approve once it goes through the usual merger routine.

After the merger, it's going to get worse with the amount of debt they'll be carrying to the tune of about $80 billion. Before you know it, a lot of heads are going to roll just like any other merger because they'll need to find ways to pay that back.

Quoting: nullzeroUnrelated, will this be the same fate as Nightingale? (see some recurring patterns here)
I don't think so because Nightingale just got an update two months ago and seems to be ongoing.

The US Patent Office have rejected a Nintendo Pokemon patent for summoning subcharacters

I'm glad that the US Patent Office made themselves useful here to reject this Nintendo patent and I hope the appeals from Nintendo fail because this mechanic has been used in other games for a long time but Palworld got caught in their crosshairs.

Quoting: pbThe artwork looks suspiciously sloppy, especially the backgrounds...
From the Kickstarter page "Everything is hand made, with no AI used in any part of the process".
I don't know what is worse, if that turns out to be a lie or the truth. ;p
Having something hand made doesn't automatically make it good of course. But yeah, the scenes look boring and inconsistent.
Maybe that's why it's called Less Miserables but in a bad way.

Quoting: ToddLI remember back then when I was visiting the SteamDeck Reddit page
How time flies, I did the same and I don't even recall when I stopped. Perhaps it was around the time the subreddit had its mod changed and became like instagram
I stopped visiting it when it got to the point that people didn't follow the rules the mods had in place for people that kept posting photos of their Steam Deck and got tired of seeing those dumb memes like smelling the Steam Deck (which continues to gets posted to this day when I last checked) or the numerous times someone would post/repost about the Steam Deck being used for controlling a rocket during the Ukraine/Russia war.

I remember back then when I was visiting the SteamDeck Reddit page regularly, there were some people that actually wanted this browser since they were coming from Windows but at the time, the installed failed to work. Now, they can finally rejoice if they're still interested in it...4 years later!

PlayStation 3 emulator RPCS3 gets easier to use with Steam
17 Mar 2026 at 2:02 pm UTC

Nice feature to have and this is what Lutris does as well when you add a game on the program that you can link up to Steam. The last time I fiddled with RPCS3, I had to use some additional commands on the Launch Options after adding the emulator to Steam in order to get the games to run.

The Godot powered Slay the Spire 2 has already hit over 3 million sales

It's great to hear games like Slay the Spire 2 being made on Godot over something like Unreal Engine and I hope they continue to have great success with every future game release.

CachyOS update brings improvements for PC gaming handhelds, the installer and more
11 Mar 2026 at 2:59 am UTC

I've been using CachyOS for about a year and so far, it's been great! I have two machines I use for gaming and it hasn't given me too much issues with the games I'm playing. I haven't had the desire to distro hop like I used to do back then now that I've used CachyOS.

Xbox "Project Helix" confirmed to run Xbox and PC games - competition for the Steam Machine
9 Mar 2026 at 3:47 am UTC Likes: 3

Good thing I don't care what M$ is cooking with Project Helix because there's nothing from Xbox that interests me when it comes to gaming and I'd rather just stick to Linux and Steam Deck gaming since it satisfies my needs nowadays.
