LIGHT OF MOTIRAM takes Horizon Zero Dawn and turns it into a co-op survival game

This game looks like a bunch of assets and mechanics ripped from Horizon and if that's the case, then this game might not be there for long if and when Sony sue them for it.

Steam Deck hits 17,000 games playable and verified

Are you curious to know what games with anti-cheat are playable? I'm currently building up our own dedicated curated list on that to help you. See more details in my forum post (please leave all comments on that in there).
Another list you can check out as well is Are We Anti-Cheat Yet? [External Link] but not sure how often they update it.

Linux kernel 6.12 is out now with real-time capabilities, more gaming handheld support
18 Nov 2024 at 4:10 pm UTC

Quoting: HobbesHKThe big one for me is support for the latest Realtek network drivers. I just got a new PC and absolutely splurged on it. I'm running a swanky new Ryzen 7 9800X3D on a X870E motherboard with 32Gb DDR5 RAM, a 7800XT graphics card, but no Linux distro has network working on install! A quick Google showed me that kernel drivers were coming in 6.12.

So I had to revert back to Windows 10. Which... is REALLY not where I want to be with this fancy machine. So hoping Bazzite will jump to Linux 6.12 very soon, since I'm keen to give that distro a try!
I can see your new PC screaming for a Linux gaming distro right now with that awesome configuration.

The latest from Prime Gaming - November 14 edition - lots for Steam Deck / Linux

Quoting: MrDerbyEA can DIE! After they fix their games.
Well, EA would rather add anticheat software to break Linux/Steam Deck Proton compatibility before they'd fix their games.

Stellar Blade should come to PC in 2025, dev expects sales to exceed console

Quoting: chickenb00I am eagerly awaiting the mod community's efforts towards this game. I'm not sure I'll buy it or play it, but I do want to see what they come up with.
I'm willing to bet one of them is a nude mod because it's bound to happen with this game.

GOG launch their Preservation Program to make games live forever with a hundred classics being 're-released'
14 Nov 2024 at 2:14 am UTC

Quoting: WMan22Normally I would not ask for this kind of proof, but we just lost a few games like The Suffering and Spec Ops: The Line, and far before that, stuff like Riddick. While the automation of patches and fixes for modern systems is appreciated, this mission statement doesn't really mean as much as it should to me if the games they pledge to preserve can just arbitrarily get yanked from the store.
The problem with some of those games is that they use licensed properties that isn't cheap to upkeep for the games companies and they would rather delist them instead. Also, some of the games get delisted because they would rather you pay for their newer remastered version instead. For GOG to preserve these games, they would have to do a lot of back and forth with the game companies that make the delisted games just like what happened to Alpha Protocol earlier this year.

Stellar Blade should come to PC in 2025, dev expects sales to exceed console

Quoting: Talon1024There's also this, from the article about console support [External Link] on the Godot Engine blog:

While platforms like Steam are very easy to publish for, the reality is that most of the revenue from independent developers generally comes from consoles (this, of course, speaking of devs not focusing on mobile).
I think the reason why most of the revenue from independent developers come from consoles is because the hardware is locked down, which makes it easier for them to develop games without having to think about different configurations like on PC.

Quoting: PyrateThis game shouldn't be plagued by Sony's nonsense DRM on PC, right?
No it shouldn't since it wasn't made by Sony and it'll more likely be using whatever services Steam or any other storefront would provide. Sony only got timed exclusive rights to the game on PS5 but nothing else.

Quoting: omer666I'm pretty excited about this game releasing on PC, and I'll be buying it for sure. However, I don't know if I'm willing to go full price yet... If the port is solid, why not
It wouldn't be a surprise if this gets released at full price since the game isn't a year old yet. Also, it wouldn't be a surprise if there are bugs in the initial release like any other game nowadays.

Valve announced the Steam Deck OLED: Limited Edition White
12 Nov 2024 at 2:20 pm UTC

As much as I love the Steam Deck, this Limited Edition model doesn't look as good as the previous translucent model. This one looks like one of those Steam Decks that you see on their unofficial Reddit page, where people use these shell replacement kits to mod it.

AYANEO 3 now officially announced with AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and HDR OLED
8 Nov 2024 at 9:18 pm UTC

I don't see anything in this video that screams "revolution" at all and watch this one get obsoleted by next years model. They might as well call the next one "evolution" because this one ain't a "revolution" at all, even with AI built into the Ryzen AI 9 CPU.
