The OrangePi Neo doesn't look too bad and the specs sounds fine for what it is but the battery could be a lot better though. Overall, I hope it succeeds the same way as the Steam Deck.

As much as I would like to applaud Lenovo for being the first one to release an official SteamOS handheld, the Lenovo Legion Go S isn't jumping out at me to buy it because those trackpads look terrible and the specs are not too good.

The thing is that I actually have a subscription under my Gmail account and I'm not going to switch to another email provider or create another new account.

SteamOS moving from Steam Deck to more handhelds gives me hope for better anti-cheat compatibility

Fortnite doesn't work on Linux or SteamOS because Epic will still block you from playing the game and Timmy doesn't like Linux.

I would be surprised if people played most of these competitive games on these handhelds. Those are the games with anti-cheat. The only exception might be Fortnite, which the average user wouldn't figure out you needed to use Heroic to get installed on a SteamOS device in the first place. Anti-cheat is a problem, but it's a bigger problem for desktop Linux players than for the Steam Deck or GPD Win.@pleasereadthemanual

so they just copied https://github.com/hmlendea/gfn-electron [External Link] ?That app doesn't work if you're authenticating with Gmail to login to your GeForce NOW account. I've tried it before when attempting to login with a Gmail account and it fails because Google blocked services that use Electron. With Nvidia making a native app for SteamOS (and maybe Linux), it should work the same way as the clients on Windows and macOS, which is a great thing.
great work nvidia

Good of them to respond and reverse the bans, they are probably very sensitive to bad press atm since it's been such a positive launch overall.Wait until they start changing to a new anti-cheat software once the cheating becomes rampant and to this day, it's stupid that people have to cheat on online games.

For those who are having problems trying to run Starship with the Windows build on Linux, you'll need DirectX 11 since without it, it'll crash. These are the steps that I took to get it to run:
1. Download the zip file for the Windows build from the Github project.
2. Provide a legal copy of the ROM for the game and make sure it matches the SHA-1 from the Github project. Also, make sure it's using the .z64 format.
3. Unzip the file from step #1 and copy/move the ROM file from step #2 into the unzipped folder.
4. On Steam, add the generate_otr.bat as a non-Steam game.
5. Before clicking on the Play button, make sure that the Proton version is set to Proton Experimental. Click the Play button to let the batch file do it's thing.
6. Once it's done, remove the non-Steam game you added in step #4 and add the Starship.exe file as a non-Steam game. Before preceding to the next step, you'll need to make sure you have Protontricks installed on your system because you'll be adding the necessary DirectX 11 files to make Starship run correctly.
7. On Protontricks, make sure you do these steps:
- Click on the Starship.exe from the list and click the OK button.
- Click on Select the default wineprefix if it's not already selected and click the OK button
- Click on Install a Windows DLL or component and click the OK button.
- Click on the following options from the list: d3dcompiler_43, d3dcompiler_47, d3dx11_43, d3dx9_43, d3dx9, d3dx10 and click the OK button.
- Now, the window will close but don't worry because it'll come back when it's done installing the necessary files.
- Once the window comes back, you can close the program.
8. Return to Steam and before clicking on the Play button for Starship, make sure that the Proton version is set to Proton Experimental. Click the Play button and hope for the best
If you don't want to go through all of that, you can use Lutris like legluondunet mentioned.

I would've jumped into this bundle if I didn't already have most of the games on the list. The only one I really wanted at the time this bundle was available was Rogue Trader but ended up getting the Fanatical Movember bundle instead for $11.99 that included it and other games that I didn't have in my Steam library.
