Quoting: pbBTW I hope "coming to steam" means with achievements, cloud saves and all that.Very doubtful since it's more likely going to require using their embedded game launcher on their Steam releases for these features you listed.
Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered announced for December 10

I don't remember Soul Reaver 2 since I was out of the loop in gaming by the time it got released on PS2 but I do have fond memories of Soul Reaver 1 despite not finishing it. I do wonder if delisting Soul Reaver 1 on PC meant that they'll include it in the remastered version as a bonus game.
As for the remastered versions, it looks fine but some of the character models and environments don't pop out in a way that it was redone from scratch but rather just cleaning it up to make it pretty instead of it being more modernized.

Quoting: KlaasInteresting timing.Sounds about right and pretty much no different than other studio acquisitions from bigger companies.
“Joining forces is exciting on multiple levels… we don't know if we can keep working on our projects without meddling and we don't know when we will be closed like our predecessor.”
Paraphrased for your reading convenience. The original contains lots of phrase bingo words like original, innovative, unique and portfolio.

Quoting: AdutchmanMaybe they want to use something like the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite dor their new Steam Deck? Or maybe not because the graphics capabilities may not be powerfull ebough, I don't know.Seems doubtful that Valve will use Snapdragon X Elite for the new Steam Deck since as you mentioned, the graphic capabilities are not powerful enough. More likely the next Steam Deck will stay on x86_64 using an AMD APU until ARM64 gets to a point that it outperforms the AMD APU graphically.
29 games are getting delisted from GOG

Quoting: monyarmWhat does delisting mean in this case. If you own any of these games will they dissapear from your account? Or does it simply mean that you won't be able to see them in the search/store and buy them after they're delisted? When a game gets delisted, they're not available to purchase anymore at the store and when searching for the delisted game. As for owning the delisted game, as long as you've purchased it before it was removed, you should still be able to access it from your library on GOG (and Steam).
Nintendo and The Pokemon Company file lawsuit against Palworld maker Pocketpair

Nothing shocking anymore when it comes to Nintendo and their usual lawsuit happy ways. First, they were going the copyright route because their fans were trying to tell them that Palworld copied the character designs of Pokemon and nothing came out of it. Now, they're going the patent route because of a certain game mechanic that's been used by different games over the years but yet they target Palworld over it. If that fails, then where would Nintendo target next from Palworld?

Quoting: GBGamesFirst Oxenfree, now these games. Is there something going on?Sounds like these companies aren't happy with whatever sales they're getting on GOG and probably decided to delist the games but if GOG are willing to work with a company like Adult Swim to bring it back in the future, then they're might be a slim chance of making it happen like Alpha Protocol.

Quoting: Cyba.CowboyYeah, Valve Software will be at PAX Australia to tell us that they're going to release the Steam Deck locally in 2048... Meanwhile, everybody else - from two-bit nobodies through to billion dollar multinationals - can release their wares in a tenth of the time that Valve Software can, and generate a profit in the process!Even if those said companies make profit on those wares, Valve will still be the de facto standard when it comes to buying your games on PC and they still profit as well.

Quoting: Cyba.CowboyAt this point, Sony may as well just give up on the PlayStation consoles and stick to PC exclusively... Especially when you consider the price of the new PlayStation 5 Pro.Sony is not giving up Playstation consoles anytime soon as long as it continues to sell to those that don't care about PC. Even if the PS5 Pro is expensive, it doesn't mean it's the only option since most console gamers can still buy the PS5 Slim with or without a Bluray drive.

What's your favourite Steam related memory? My Steam related memory was when I was attempting to play Diablo 3 with some people back then on a Macbook Pro but got lazy setting it up. From there, I forgotten all about it until I started redeeming some Humble Bundle games but even then, it wasn't enough to jump into Steam until the Steam Deck came along. Once the Steam Deck was released, I was one of those naysayers, thinking it was nothing more than a Switch wannabe but once I bought one out of curiosity, my attitude changed. Now, I love playing games on Steam with the Steam Deck and happy birthday to Steam
