Personally, I prefer the PS1 version because it's the one that I played originally and didn't have any interest in the Nintendo N64 to play the game again when it was rereleased, despite the additions on that version. Also, I still like the fact that it was innovative at the time on PS1 imho since no other game managed to have the story converged, regardless of which disk you started out with first.

As a side note, some purist will never like the remake version of RE2 because of the changes they made to it, but I like it just as much as the original :smile:

Just played through Uncharted 4 through Proton and can honestly say I am enjoying gaming in Linux. I poo pooed Proton when it first released and thought it would never get off the ground, but that was mainly in it's first year. Since then, with the Steam-Deck release and the amazing work done in Proton and WINE for us to be able to play PC games, from nearly on first day release, is amazing.

I felt the same way when I was trying out Proton for the first time and came away disappointed because it didn't convince me that Linux was ready to play Windows games. However, once I got the Steam Deck and try out a bunch of games, I was amazed that it played Windows games better than I expected. Now, I'm thinking of building a PC to use one of the SteamOS variants like Bazzite, ChimeraOS, etc.

If you're thinking about Windows due to other stores and launchers, perhaps first look into the likes of the Heroic Games Launcher and NonSteamLaunchers.

I don't think launchers is the biggest reason to use Windows but more like those that want to use mods that don't work well in Linux or play games with crappy anti-cheat software like Ricochet from Activision and the ones from EA would be why they go back to it. Solve and fix issues like the ones I've mentioned and Linux would be a good alternative to ditch Windows.

I remember getting this game for free when it was PS Plus back then and never got around to playing it. I guess I'll wait for a sale on this one to buy it for the Steam Deck since I still have an active PSN account that should work with linking.

All you need to do is run a gaming website for many, many years, and then Valve will send them to you for free. EZ.

If I didn't have a majority of the games that this bundle offered, I would've jumped onto the $35 tier and not care about the coupon they're throwing in for Mythforce.
