This game looks great and is up my alley when it comes to this genre. I've played Chasm a long time ago and thought it was a great game. This one doesn't look like it'll disappoint and I can't wait to play it on the Steam Deck
So much for preservation, the classic Delta Force games are getting delisted

Quoting: robvvDidn't take me long to find that the games are still preserved, though not via official routes. Aarrr, mateys!Well, that's the only way that games are preserved as long as someone is willing to put them up and no matter how many times it gets taken down, it'll still be around for years to come. It'd be nice if it didn't have to be this way but these game companies are not making it easier to preserve games with their tactics.

I now I can see why they took down Delta Force Black Hawk Down and it's because the game is now part of the single player campaign in Delta Force: Hawk Ops.

Quoting: KimyrielleI wished MS never touched a lot of the game companies they bought but here we are. Seeing some game companies like Tango Gameworks and Arkane Austin close sucks a lot and I won't be surprised if Ninja Theory is next to go, even if they say they're working on new projects.Quoting: ArehandoroObsidian are great. I wish they could have stayed independent, though. They were great. Past tense. I loved most games they used to make, but I have zero interest in the games they're making these days. Not sure why some devs think everybody loves first person games. I certainly don't.
But yes, maybe they would still make great games if MS wouldn't have bought them. Big business has that tendency to kill everything it touches, so there is that.

Quoting: Liam DaweUpdate, they're gone from GOG now, but still on Steam for now.The only one that's not there on Steam is Delta Force Black Hawk Down (main game and not the DLC).
GOG will purge your Cloud Saves that hit over 200MB

Quoting: kneekooCloud goes poof! :whistle:I've seen some AAA games that use that much cloud save but it's hard to say what kind of data they're saving that required that much space.
I actually had no idea saves can go over 1GB. That's basically all the games and their saves combined, up to early 90's. I don't know what could possibly require 1GB to save your progression. There are clever ways to save progression, and other ways.

Quoting: slaapliedjeI think it depends on whether the developer has enabled it or not in the game. There's probably a lot of games that don't use cloud saves on Steam (I've seen some games in my library that don't use cloud saves) but you're more likely to see most of the modern releases having cloud saves.Quoting: Liam DaweHa, my first question was, "GOG has cloud saves?" For the most part, the games I have through GOG don't seem like they would even support it.Quoting: PenglingI'm a little bit confused - isn't this a Windows-only problem, since this relates to their GOG Galaxy launcher? :huh:Galaxy works on Linux with Wine too, has done for ages. But, Heroic Games Launcher also supports GOG too, and if memory serves works with cloud saves nowadays too.
ZOTAC Zone is yet another AMD gaming handheld

This Zotac handheld is about as close as you can make it look like a Steam Deck but even then, it runs Windows 11 and cost $800. I'm glad I don't fall into the temptation of buying any of these newer devices since the Steam Deck still does a pretty good job of playing most of the games I'm interested in.

Quoting: basedNo thanks I'll wait another 3 months for the next version, and another, and another...It sounds like MSI is pulling a Ayaneo and GPD at the rate this is going and if this one doesn't take off, will either have a V3 or they'll pull out of the handheld market.
ASUS reveal the ROG Ally X with more RAM, more storage, larger battery

The biggest ding on this device is that it's not using a OLED screen and sticking to the same one as the previous model. Also, they opted to use USB4 instead of their proprietary connector for the eGPU, which is nice but should've used OCuLink instead.
Sure, the 24GB of RAM and larger battery sounds nice but since it's still stuck on Windows 11, I'll pass on this until they get dirt cheap so that I can put Bazzite, ChimeraOS or Nobara on it.
