While objectively a thing like "misunderstandings and mischaracterizations" can be a very valid thing in a communication, this will always be taken as a "cheap excuse".
If you've been in such a situation it will always stick to your person for the rest of your life,
no matter if it was true or NOT.
Headlines simply cannot be undone.
I see this often used as sharp knife to seriously harm public figures.

Quoting: GuestAnother storm in a teacup. Maybe there is a correlation between working on a computer and being a drama queen. Also, this looks like an unfair procedure as seen many times before.

Great project.
Do they plan to include a single-player campaign?

Would allow us to stop speculating about that.
Is there an API to extract from Steam all newly released games within one month and which platforms they support? If we'd do this - back to when Steam for Linux was released - that would surely provide some insight where the fraction of native Linux games is trending.
Including the influence of the rise and fall of Steam Machines.
If you have already posted such numbers, please point me to it. :)

Quoting: Liam DaweI was asking for reliable numbers.Quoting: subWe will most likely see more and more devs dropping Linux support or not considering it right from the start. You mean exactly like it was before Steam Play then?

What did you expect from the quite good state of SteamPlay?
We will most likely see more and more devs dropping Linux support or not considering it right from the start.
Do we have reliable numbers of the fraction of games with native Linux builds released per month?

Quoting: F.UltraSure! :DQuoting: sub"Watt.hour^-1" is "Watt per hour" and totally doesn't make sense. That's because it's carrot.watt.hour^-1, completely different thing!
Then again Watt x hour is energy not power.
I don't get that bubble. :D

Rockfish confirm EVERSPACE 2 will not go exclusive to the Epic Store, Steam is the "best platform" for indies

Does anybody knows if Linux has a standardized FF API, or do games need to explicitly support the model?
Also, let's assume driver support is working, will I be able to use it with Wine and old Windows games that had FF support?
Yeah, I should probably ask that in the forum, but with Everspace chances are higher that it's visible to people that have experience with it - I guess.

Quoting: x_wingSure, without FF a FF joystick is not even stabilized. :)Quoting: sub1/2 Offtopic.I have the first version (gameport), unfortunately the ff doesn't work but I read in many places that it should (I read the driver and the support seems to be implemented, I probably did something wrong). Either case, even without ff is a terrific joystick.
Is anyone using a MS Sidewinder Force Feedback Pro 2?
Does it (still) work under Linux?

They were expensive and sales as we know them today simply did not exist.
What sounds like a great turn of things, isn't one I dare to say.
I had at most two games I played over many months and typically they were LOTS of fun.
That inflationary stream of content, sales and bundles killed it for me. :/
Partly blame it on me, as I couldn't resist this highly optimized marketing and selling machine.
Similar to the lowered attention span that many people gained today, I switch games fast.
Playing a bit here, testing another buy there, rarely getting attached to anything anymore. :/

Quoting: slaapliedjeHa, I wish I had less games and more concentration to have beaten Pillars of Eternity before moving onto other things. But yeah I already have both of those. In fact I think I have most of those on the list already.I remember a time long ago when I carefully selected games before buying them.
