Fallout inspired 'ATOM RPG' just had a massive update including a new skill tree

I´m equally impressed. I´ve sunk 17 hrs into the game and I intended to keep playing from that point when it was released but with these updates, that are so content rich and adds so many new & interesting things each time, I now think I´ll just start a fresh new game instead.

Valve's Steam Play should work better today, as DXVK was left in debug mode causing a performance drop

I´ve tested a few small/oldish titles at random but no luck this far. Neither "State of Decay", "Underrail", "Outcast 1.1", "I shall Remain", "Prey" or "The Secret of Monkey Island:SE" would start for me under steamplay.

EDIT: Disregard the above, after a reboot I got all of them to start up except "Outcast 1.1" & "Underrail" for some reason. "State of Decay" seemed to have some graphical glitches but otherwise worked fine, "Prey (2006)" semed to work great, same with "I Shall Remain" & "Monkey Island".

Interesting, though I doubt I´ll be buying. For one thing I feel my 1060 is more than enough at this time. Also, I value cool, energy efficient & quiet a great deal higher than I do raw performace these days, so I´m guessing my next card (if it´s nvidia) will end with either xx50 or xx60. ;)

Turn-based tactical RPG 'Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark' is out in Early Access

Nice! Wishlisted for a long time, so if there´s still 6 months to go, I think I´ll hold of on purchasing for a bit yet (so many other titles that arrives soon-ish)

A small update on the status of BATTLETECH for Linux

Quoting: wintermute
Quoting: FeistOn that note, I wonder what´s taking "Life Is Strange: BtS" so long. I´d expect that game shouldn´t be much different from the original title, which is already ported.
LiS was made with Unreal Engine, LiS:BtS was made with Unity.
Oh...crap! I did not know that, I just took it for granted that it was a prequel that could be considered "Life is Strange 1.5". I didn´t expect that they´d change engine until possibly the sequel.

A small update on the status of BATTLETECH for Linux

A bit dissapointing to hear. You´d think these issues that many developers have, would be reported back to the "unity team" and at some point the engine would be patched to adress the majority of problems. Unless, of course, the game engine is just something to blame while the real problems can be found elsewhere.

On that note, I wonder what´s taking "Life Is Strange: BtS" so long. I´d expect that game shouldn´t be much different from the original title, which is already ported.

Rings of Saturn is a hard sci-fi, top-down space simulator coming soon to Linux

It does look really nice, bit hesitant about the gameplay though. Based on the trailer and the above description, it doesn´t sound that exciting to me. I hope I´m wrong of course. ;)

Comedy cosmic horror adventure 'Gibbous - A Cthulhu Adventure' has a new trailer and Steam page
12 Aug 2018 at 5:47 am UTC

I always feel a bit sceptical when it comes to "Comedy Adventures". Not really sure why, since I did love the "Monkey Island" games and most other Lucasarts adventures as well, not to mention the recent "Thimbleweed Park". Maybe it´s because comedy that fails to be funny, is much worse than horror that fails to be scary or a mystery/adventure that fails to be very mysterious/adventurous.

Anyway, I´ll overcome this predjudice by buying this game!

Tactical RPG 'Depth of Extinction' release delayed until next month
6 Aug 2018 at 11:21 am UTC

Nice, actually I´d be even happier with October. September looks like it will be an amazingly busy gaming month and this is a game I´d really like to give my full and undivided attention once it´s released.

Life Is Strange 2 has an official teaser ahead of a full reveal later this month

Quoting: lucifertdarkIntriguing. I would much rather have the game all in one go though, keep the episodic structure internally but release it all at once.
Yes, in that case a delayed release for linux actually works as an advantage (as long as it´s not too delayed), I too find gameplay in episodes with months in between, to be a really crappy way to enjoy a computergame.
