What are you clicking on this weekend and what do you think about it?

I´m playing "Prey" (2006) the great oldie that works spendid with Steam Play, also a bit of "Doom" (2016) and "Mirror´s Edge". On the native front, I´m finally getting close to the end of PoE2 (right when the second expansion is due).

Getting more hyped about this! For a while I was more interested in the new "Ultima Underworld" title, but now I feel these two hold equal promise of a pleasant gameplay experience.

"When was the last time you used Wine and/or Steam Play to play a Windows game?"

Either something like that, or two separate questions to differentiate between those who (like myself) pretty much only use the Proton version and only extremly rarely use Wine in the classical sense and those who only use the classical version as well as those who make regular use of both.

Great! It´s nice to have some extra confirmation that it is coming. Ordinarily, I might be a bit worried about a possible prolonged delay after the windows release but with the current "Steam Play" situation, there´s no risk of a game shortage anytime soon.

I really want to buy "Battle Chasers" and "Silver", however I have such a huge backlog since I did virtually no gaming from mid-may to mid-august.

If I thought things were getting bad on the "backlog front" *before* Steam Play/Proton, then afterwards....it´s "Backlog Armageddon". :dizzy:

This weekend I´ll keep playing PoE2, I´ll probably also start playing "Tesla Effect" from my beloved Tex Murphy Adventure series. Perhaps also some "Monkey Island" and I kinda miss the great atmosphere from "Alan Wake", just reinstalled and it seems to work great. I may very well decide to install a whole bunch of other old favorites, as well as windows games that I never got around to installing.

I´m equally impressed. I´ve sunk 17 hrs into the game and I intended to keep playing from that point when it was released but with these updates, that are so content rich and adds so many new & interesting things each time, I now think I´ll just start a fresh new game instead.

Valve's Steam Play should work better today, as DXVK was left in debug mode causing a performance drop

I´ve tested a few small/oldish titles at random but no luck this far. Neither "State of Decay", "Underrail", "Outcast 1.1", "I shall Remain", "Prey" or "The Secret of Monkey Island:SE" would start for me under steamplay.

EDIT: Disregard the above, after a reboot I got all of them to start up except "Outcast 1.1" & "Underrail" for some reason. "State of Decay" seemed to have some graphical glitches but otherwise worked fine, "Prey (2006)" semed to work great, same with "I Shall Remain" & "Monkey Island".

Interesting, though I doubt I´ll be buying. For one thing I feel my 1060 is more than enough at this time. Also, I value cool, energy efficient & quiet a great deal higher than I do raw performace these days, so I´m guessing my next card (if it´s nvidia) will end with either xx50 or xx60. ;)

Nice! Wishlisted for a long time, so if there´s still 6 months to go, I think I´ll hold of on purchasing for a bit yet (so many other titles that arrives soon-ish)

Quoting: wintermute
Quoting: FeistOn that note, I wonder what´s taking "Life Is Strange: BtS" so long. I´d expect that game shouldn´t be much different from the original title, which is already ported.
LiS was made with Unreal Engine, LiS:BtS was made with Unity.
Oh...crap! I did not know that, I just took it for granted that it was a prequel that could be considered "Life is Strange 1.5". I didn´t expect that they´d change engine until possibly the sequel.
