Quoting: BigJI use Arch Linux. How do I buy and play games from GOG?
Never used Arch but I think something like Gamehub should do the trick for you.

Thanks for the tip Liam. Funny enough I was thinking about this game earlier today.

Quoting: KimyrielleFamily sharing is the most useless feature in Steam, honestly. You'd expect it to lock only the game somebody is using, but it locks the entire library. So if my daughter is playing any Steam game, I can't use my entire library as long as she's playing. Might as well let her use my computer in the first place. *rolleyes*
... But it has the advantage of letting you decide which games your kids can play, some form of parental control. This said, I understand your complaint, but personnaly, my play time begins when my kids... and my wife... are asleep. No judgment here, just a state of fact, in my personal case. :)
I kind of agree with both of you, but I'm more on the side of "Family sharing is not what it should be". Say what you what about consoles (and I can say a lot), but all my friends own a PS4 and they swap games all the time. And if Sony (SONY!!!) are letting people swap games, I see no reason why Valve should have a stick up their b*tt about it. Surely there is a way to do this properly.

Also, you manage to get game time? Lucky man. I just lie in bed remembering the time when I could game as much as a I wanted :D. My wife casually mentioned I should maybe sell my PC and perhaps get a laptop, to which I reacted: "No! NO!!! This is a line we are not crossing!!!". Hey, I got to play for like 1 hour of Dark Souls: Remastered weeks ago, so yay... I guess... :D. At this rate I should be done for my daughters second birthday next August. I need a Switch...

Quoting: BotonoskiReally seems like they're rushing this out the door as quickly as possible when they're adding to their launch roster so soon before release. Really ought to make sure things are set in stone before you announce them in my opinion.
Yeah, but Black Friday is right around the corner. This is the busiest shopping season of the year. They'll push whatever slapped together garbage they can out the door to get that sweet sweet money then worry about the backlash and making things work later.
We're talking about Google here. They don't need the quick buck. But given their "throw at the wall and see what sticks" history, I wouldn't be too surprised either.
Yup. Sometimes I wonder how they got to be "Google" considering how little they care about their projects. It seems like they prefer to put absolutely no effort and just spew any garbage out and see what catches on, rather than invest and proper develop.

Stadia looks to be very limited at launch and not just the amount of games

I really like the idea of game streaming, but Google are doing their absolute best to put me off. It's like, sometimes the big heads over there have a simultaneous brain f*rt that results in a slow motion train wreck everybody but Google can see unraveling. My previous boss used to call the page with their discontinued projects "the wall of shame" :).

I hope they find the balance between CKII bigger numbers win 99% of the time and EUIV where to this day I've no clear idea how battle works. I just wish they'd streamline and explain combat better.

Quoting: BeamboomSo what's generally recommended now, Version 335 or 340? Is 335 too experimental/bleeding edge for regular hassle-free gaming?
I'm probably not the best source, considering Windows is still my primary OS, but on Solus Vulka drivers have been fairly kind to me. If you don't have to go out of your way too much, I'd suggest you give them a go.
