Quoting: slaapliedjeI'm really confused, surely this is supposed to be Gnome 42 and 41 is a beta? Or did they just full on f-up the versioning because, why not?
Nope. It's using their newer versioning system. The last was GNOME 40, this is GNOME 41. It's just going to increment 1 each time now.

Quoting: GNOME TeamGNOME 41 is the second release to use GNOME's new version numbering scheme. This replaced the old odd/even point release approach with a simpler, single integer. The next release, version 42, is planned for March 2022.

Quoting: x_wingHow long does it takes to load for you? I recall having slow downs from time to time (maybe taking 30s?), but 90% of the time the main menu loads in around 15s (if not less).
On first load on a fresh boot, it can often stick with a black screen for a good 2-3 minutes. It's frustrating and has long been an issue. I've seen a number of posts on different areas from people thinking it's crashes but you sometimes have to leave it for ages. After that first run though it's only a few seconds to load again if you quit and relaunch.

Quoting: scaineBeen watching Corben stream quite a lot of this, and it runs well, which is really frustrating (for you) because he's on similar hardware, I think?
Nope, he has a much newer CPU and GPU, different distro and different desktop :P

Quoting: pete910@Liam, I noticed on your steam review you had issues with FPS drops have you managed to solve the problem ?
Nope, the issue persisted. There's an entry on ProtonDB [External Link] with someone showing the same issue, with ProtonDB still giving it the thumbs up on that entry which I find hilarious because it makes it unplayable.

Quoting: LanzI know it's popular online to be a rabid leftist, but Thatcher was a remarkably talented woman who deserves our respect, not mockery. This is tasteless.
I really hope that comment is an attempt at satire.
Which one? Mine (right above yours)?
No it's not; what am I, Dinsdale from the Piranha Brothers? I think the Cyberdemon deserves better.
Why would you think it was about you when I quoted someone else?
