It more than surpassed my expectations, and thoroughly fixed what used to be the most boring area in CK2/3. Iberia is now just as interesting as it was in real life, and then some (No spoilers as to what shenanigans you can get up to! :wink:)

You can indeed turn Hispania into a melting pot; or tear it asunder. You can even form Valencia and get El Cid type events!:grin:

Can you tell I'm overjoyed? Fair warning, the new struggle mechanic feels a little daunting at first; after that, it's a blast!

Did anyone else think "Chevron eight locked!" when you first saw the image? Then I read the description and my joy immediately deflated. Also, only six chevrons there.

Maybe I'm just hyped for the new Stargate game; plus the new TTRPG. It was my favorite (live-action) show, and I've missed it. :smile:

I've had this game on my wish list for some time, but after seeing the preview image I may remove it.

Nice, Iberia is one of those places in CK2/3 that tends to stagnate after stabilizing. Until a huge decadence crisis with the Umayyads happens around ~200 years in anyway. Any AI Reconqista in ck2 (I haven't played long enough in CK3 to test) tends to fail to do much without player intervention; then you just have the same problem again when it does. This should make things more interesting to play anyone there. I wish there was a way to roleplay El Cid, and be a loyal friend/vassal/eventual independent king with both the Christian and Muslim rulers.

Russia just made my nightmare reality. We all have to do something to help the folks in Ukraine. If Putin gets hold of Zelenskyy he'll have his objective. No amount of sanctions will change that. The Russians aren't trying to hold territory, they're making a push to Kyiv to take hold of the government. Not unlike the invasion of France, they're relying on momentum and confusion.

I'm praying for everyone over there. If I was NATO's Supreme Commander of Allied Forces, I'd come up with a plan to bolster Ukraine to protect it's sovereignty right about now. Not the nuclear option! That would lead to the planet being uninhabitable, I guarantee it! I've always been paranoid about this sort of thing happening since Georgia in '08.

Waiting for that Russian straw-man to show up anytime now...
