Great! I hope we get this release soon.

Since they are planning for cross-platform release I'm going to assume that if it has multi-player, it will work cross-platform.

If it's not compatible with Windows for multi-player then I won't buy this game.

I'll just continue to play Civ 5 with friends.

its not out for Linux. If it will ever be.
Looks good though, hopefully it will be released to linux at some day also and hopefully they make use of vulkan by then.

I don't think I will ever take a "hard ball" stance on Linux gaming. I support Linux games I want, but I'm not going to stop myself from playing a game just cause it doesn't have a Linux port.

Anyway, some of my friends were talking about playing it, so I decided to join in.

That is a very good point. Unless they use Unity and have ported other games to Linux and they promise Linux of x amount is pledged I think they should have to list the api, engine and middleware they use.

If people had stopped with their pre-orders we wouldn't get games pushed out the door broken and full of bugs. We wouldn't get these day one dlc schemes either, and pre-order bonues. Consumers who pre-order are telling the developers and publishers that it's okay to keep going with their anti-consumer schemes.
