Checked out the game today as well. Saw a Reddit thread about it.
As far as new player experiences go, it's terrible.
I joined, got killed almost instantly. I respawn in the exact same spot and the same player kills me again.
I then decided to run away and the damn player is chasing me for about 20 minutes when I just gave up.
So, yeah, probably not going to be playing the game again anytime soon if this isn't fixed. I don't even got a chance to learn how the game works. Are there levels? If so, then the first few levels there should be immunity so that one can learn how to play the game.

It is indeed a beautiful game. I am also around the 60 day's left mark.
But, I did look up a guide online to know where to find stuff, because with the slow walking and all the places and caves you can go to, it would be frustrating very quickly for me to walk back and forth between the same place before finally going where I want.
So I used a guide to know how to walk to get to where I wanted. But that is how I play games.
Still, I enjoy it a lot and it's a unique and fun experience. It is now my most played game on Steam with almost 150 hours.
It finally beat Skyrim ( a game that I barely actually played yet have around 80 hours on it ( probably because of just installing mods and checking it out and then not playing it ) ).

I remember secretly downloading one of the beta versions back in the day over my parents phone line. Took 6 hours to get it downloaded, and I off-course couldn't play it online since that is how it goes back in the old day's, but man, just walking around and playing with the guns was just amazing for young old me.
I loved the version with bunny-hopping still in the game, just gave a nice edge to the gameplay but they later removed it.
Still, even now, although it looks old, the gameplay is still solid.

Quoting: Luke_NukemWorks brilliantly with Proton. Funny story, I got alpha access and actually didn't know it was a Windows only build because it worked so well.Same story for me. I also got into the alpha and totally forgot it was a Windows only game until someone mentioned it on Discord.

I recently discovered this addon as well. I used Strongbox before, but this one is good as well. it has a AppImage so it took no setting up at all.
Wonderful updater and also a tool where you can search for addons in the app!

Nice, I was hoping for a fix since I also had graphical issues.
Maybe I can start playing now (after I finished Little Hope).

I am happy that AMD can finally compete with NVIDIA again. Man, that women (and the team) is a genius. She turned that company around from the brink.
I always had a NVIDIA card, but now that I am on Linux, AMD all the way and I am very pleased with my 5700 XT and my 580 before that. Runs like a dream and I get the sweet new goodies like ACO first.
Will be a while before I need a new PC, but seems it is time to start saving again so in 3 years I can do a big upgrade again.
