Total War: THREE KINGDOMS confirmed to be coming to Linux, port from Feral Interactive

I guess for TW games there a bit of a saturation process settling in, but it's still great to see such a commitment to our platform by the TW devs.

It would be awesome if more high-profile studios would be just as committed. Feral isn't porting too many TW games at all, there are just not enough OTHER AAA games getting ported.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm is now officially available on Linux

Playing this game will be indeed a somewhat strange experience, since everyone who played the original LiS already knows what will eventually happen to both protagonists. Honestly, I still want to throw rotten tomatoes at the person who wrote the LiS 1 ending. But I will still buy and play this game, I guess. Save for that super-stupid, super-not-satisfying and super-foreseeable ending, I consider LiS one of the best five adventure games ever made.

I agree with the point about excessive delay between Windows and Linux versions probably hurting Feral's business. Linux users want to play games when they are still new too, you know? I had at least a half dozen Feral ports popping up in my Linux library I already had for Windows, so Feral never saw a dime from these, sadly. This game is an exception. I didn't get it yet, for I was still mad at DotNod for above-mentioned stupid ending. :D

For a game they said will no longer be getting updates, it's sure getting some really nice updates! :D

Linux game porter Ryan 'Icculus' Gordon is looking for new games to bring to Linux

Being my brutally honest self...thanks, but we don't need yet another garage game on Linux. We got a few thousand of these. What's Turok anyway? What we need at this point are AAA titles. Stuff that makes people go "Wow, you Penguin people can play THAT???" Icculus is a human porting machine who can get anything ported you throw at him. His talents are completely wasted porting B list games. Again, what's Turok? Somebody go convince Bethesda or a company like it to let him have a go at their back catalog. Please?

They have a near monopoly on games distribution. I am not sure I feel comfortable with a single company inflicting their personal view on what's morally acceptable on the entire world. "If it's not illegal, it's ok" is a really good way to handle it. I like it.

I don't even care about MS in particular being involved here. But if people think mergers of this scale are a good thing, they need to start reading economics textbooks. It's not. If we want functional markets, we can't allow corporations to become that large. But I guess we still believe in this "regulation is bad!" rubbish. Until they day when the corporations start to regulate us.

Not that they don't already.

Good to hear that they are still committed to it. I backed this game. It's currently sitting in my GOG library, while some of my friends are teasing me how good it is. Meh! But I had never any doubt that Harebrained would follow up on their promise. They ported their previous games and are proved to be Linux friendly, so I have trust in them!
