Great to see the classics being preserver, enhanced, and enjoyed by newer gamers! Projects like this, OpenMW, OpenTTD, and so many others really mean a lot with regard to historical preservation and enhanced enjoyment of these hallmark games and game franchises.

"So I hope all of you out there, whoever you are and however Rob’s games have reached you, that you can at the very least hold a special place for the Waves games, and that they continue to bring you many more hours of chill, challenge, and possibly even frustration, but most of all I hope that you can continue to feel the passion and love that Rob poured into these games long after the pain of their passing begins to fade."Well said. Rest in peace.

Linux Mint working on a new upgrade tool for major releases

Honestly, if Mint were to deploy a KDE version today, it would likely be indistinguishable from Kubuntu, as all of the tools and apps that are unique to Mint are and will ALWAYS BE GTK-based.

Quoting: akselmoMint is, well, mint! :D I just would like to see a KDE spin of it, with all the basic KDE stuff preinstalled. There used to be Linux Mint KDE, but alas it was really designed and maintained by one main (unpaid) volunteer. IIRC, once he could no longer support Mint's KDE spin, Clem dropped it like a hot potato. Was a great KDE distro, as it used KDE-themed versions of all of Mint's artwork. I left Mint for Kubuntu at that point, and use Neon today.

Fabulous little gem that has been running flawlessly on Linux for a few years now. Still under very active development, now on Alpha 14. Think 7 Days to Die release philosophy, just with a much more rapid release cadence.

Wouldn't the work on fingerprint support also be crucial to Plasma Mobile, as well as for laptops and (presumably) Valve's SteamDeck?
I feel like Plasma has made massive gains in the last 2 years. Not perfect, of coourse, but sure evolving faster than most other DE's seem to be. I also find it funny that all the big Linux players poo-poo KDE Plasma and default to some (usually highly-customized) version of Gnome + extensions, even though Plasma usually wins most all "most popular DE" polls, and - according to Phoronix - uses less RAM. Truly one of life's big mysteries.

This is a great game already. The DLC seems like a decent price, and the 1st person P.O.V. racing will likely justify purchasing a racing wheel soon.
