For some reason, after installing the beta, the CTRL key is not detected anymore by games...
Every time I push it, some little round shape orange light appear in the middle of the screen and the games don't respond to the key as the used to do...

Switching back to 3.7-6 don't solve the problem.

UPDATE:
Oh no! It seems is an Ubuntu issue.
Something goes broken after a recent update ¬¬

UPDATE 2:
It seems that The Ctrl problem happen only on GNOME/GNOME CLassic; using Ubuntu with XFCE works.
It seems They broke something in GNOME recently...

UPDATE 3:
Solved!
Days ago, playing with GNOME tweak tool; under Keyboard & Mouse, by accident I enabled "Show location of pointer"...disabling it solved the problem..

Not having this guy working on Proton is the most bigger technical issue that Proton has...
GabeN, fix that bug and hire this guy!

And this is why the Steam for Linux client should allow Us to choose between run the native version and run the windows version via Proton.

Quoting: TheSyldatI just double checked actually one month between each episode.
Episode two will be out on October 20th .
Then third saturday of november for episode 3
Then third saturday of December for episode 4

hmm.. If that is accurate, then January 2019 (in the last days of the Steam Xmas sales) will be a good release date...
More after than that isn't OK...
I mean, with Deus Ex MD, they did a good job with the release date: Just one month after the windows release..It seems, then, They worked simultaneously with the windows version devs.

I wonder WHY this project is not backed by Valve...
I mean, A LOT of the legacy steam games are DX9 and this will improve performance.

3.7-7 beta is here..
Good job, Valve!

But....
Proton must be an "out of the box" experience without any workarounds or Protontricks [External Link] needed...
And that's why Proton Devs MUST focus first in the compatibility with the Big AAA games and BIG Franchises..
Call of Duty's... The Bioshock's (We have Infinite, now give Us the rest of the franchise).. The Batman games.. The Resident Evil franchise... Fallout 4... The Elder scrolls V: Skyrim... The Witcher's (We have the number 2, We want 1 and 3).. etc..

Unless Valve start to add more and more games to the white list, something tells me that Proton/Steamplay will never leave the Beta stage..

In my account, the 3.7-7 beta is not yet available.

I hope they fix also the "press SPACE to continue" bug in Bioshock 2 Remastered...
I know there is a workaround with PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command% -nointro
Or using an Xbox controller for to pass that screen.. But the game should work out of the box.

In my opinion, Proton Devs must focus first in the compatibility of the BIG franchises and big AAA games...
