And if you gather statistics for a random selection of Kickstarters that promised Linux support then what you're doing is sampling [External Link], a well understood statistical technique known to give representative results for the whole set of data (sampled and non-sampled) within certain bounds of accuracy.

You can argue my selection is biased (and it is, though it ought to be biased towards projects that had more believable promises of Linux support), but you can't argue it's irrelevant.

Not really, it's just that's the only thing I've calculated stats for. There's no specific reason to believe any randomly selected set of Kickstarters is not indicative of the general trend unless you want to make the case that I am unusually bad at picking them. What evidence do you have to back up your claim of 1%?

Last time I calculated this for things I'd personally backed the figure was around 25% (this only included projects that had released at least a Windows version). Obviously I could just be really bad at picking the right projects, but I doubt the percentage is as low as you claim.

You have it backwards - SteamDB is merely reporting changes made in Steam/Valve repositories, it is not a repository in itself. In other words, SteamDb is showing the changes they made to "their own list proper", just in a more convenient format for the general public.

Played this at EGX last week.

Also went to a talk about it where they went on about five elements and how these are used throughout the entire game (summary here [External Link] and immediately thought of the Feral Radar. Too tired and hotel internet too crappy to make a post about it the time.

Anyway the game itself seemed good, a bit different to other Total War games I've tried with the heroes and duels.

I backed the failed Kickstarter last year and then backed the dev on Patreon [External Link] when he started up that alternative. Dev communicates well and has some interesting ideas, looking forward to see how this develops.
