I miss Roller Coaster Tycoon and really want to pick this up but I have to adhere to my strict no early access principle.

The only problem now is that there is a wide disparity between the visual quality of race tracks versus the new ones that are being added. That and the the hub world look like a reference sample from Dark Basic or something.

The space would go towards nothing. I am normally a minimalist for sure. Such things as integrated audio from the monitor to avoid a bulky 2.1 stereo with a spider web of cables to route. And it's all much easier to clean :D

Not at all since freedom > power IMO. In fact, I recycle electronics on the side so I understand the allure of withered technology. It would be especially fulfilling to use something older with Coreboot support.

Participating in this survey has a ratcheting effect on my choice in hardware. I feel as though I can never migrate to anything less powerful than what I have because it would harm the overall "score" of Linux gamer computer strength.

Seriously, guys/gals, do you really want it to become self-fulfilling prophecy?

Don't worry about it, buddy, as I'm pretty sure I don't represent the majority of Linux game buyers. I am the kind of person that abandons patronizing certain venues simply because they play ads. Not so Humble anymore will do just fine w/out me.

When I think of IGN, it conjures up imagery of console gamers, cringy "MLG" theming, product placement, prepubescent screechers and all of the cancer that is wrong with gaming.

Sure, open source shooters tend to look dated but you should include Red Eclipse in this which I think looks and feels like a high speed Halo.
