if it was all open-source then I think they'd find a audience to sell to.

No leaving a Steam account in a will after you die according to Valve

I wonder if Valve will setup a expected death of account owner timer. So once you turn 80yo they consider you dead and invalidate your entire library, lol. That would be dystopian but I suspect in 40years time we will all have MUCH more pressing issues to deal with other then computer stuff.

KDE Plasma 6.1 Beta released with Wayland Explicit Sync support

Quoting: Pyrateit wasn't really a big deal at the end.
Every game supports HDR, some benefit GREATLY from it and can negate the entire need for reshade or enb profiles when using HDR which does a lot of colour and brightness/exposure balancing itself.

Special-K has very good AutoHDR integration now. Also if you don't have a OLED, I don't know why you'd bother with HDR.

Need better HDR support (for nvidia at least) and DLSS Frame Generation (again from NVIDIA).

Then I can turn off this win10 VM and run some stuff via proton. I don't know when those 2 things will happen, nvidia has hinted at making it so but time will tell.

Remember when SimCity did this crap. And some modder removed the always online check in a couple days after release. Pretty funny as the developer was arguing about how it was too hard and would take time....

To be fair the Developer have mentioned their working on offline modes. BUT its something they 100% should have done before release. Now they get to join all the other developers who released games with BAD features and loose good-will launch money! Congratulations, you gone f'ed up!

Always online hey..

I'll wait for a cracked and patched version without that feature, either from the developer or whoever.

NVIDIA switching to open kernel modules by default in future driver update for Turing+

Quoting: TuxThePenguinI've heard of 10 (30) bit colour being available now.
It's in experimental, but I get worse color in Wayland and certainly when HDR is enabled. So with it needs work or plasma/wayland/linuxHDR needs work to support NVIDIA better. I do not know which it is.

Men of War II will be online-only at launch but an offline mode is in development

Umm, so I play single player with online people? This is what Sim City did, forced everyone to login for the single player experience.
