Kingdoms and Castles has a huge AI Kingdoms update out now
28 May 2022 at 2:25 pm UTC
I recommend the game, especially to people who liked the core gameplay in Rise to Ruins. While still worth buying and playing due to the good price, Kingdoms and Castles used to plateau after you became more powerful than all your conflicts. Knowing they were going to add more, I've been looking forward it. Now, it's here!
EDIT: Seems as though the update hasn't come to GOG yet.

Quoting: Purple Library Guy. . . Hang on a minute. Did that one invasion in the trailer have flying dragons breathing fire on the town?I've had the game a good while now and the dragons are not new!
I think I'm wishlisting this.

Quoting: stylonThis looks great - total rip-off of Wipeout on the original PlayStation mind you but if it plays as well I won't complain! This made me wonder what makes people say rip-off versus spiritual successor...? Hmm... I'm thinking maybe how the publisher markets the game.
Definitely going to try out the demo.

Quoting: stylonI won't talk about my actual gaming PC as I'll probably get roasted alive... but I will say the Steam Deck has opened my eyes to stuff I didn't realise was possible so who knows where that might lead me in the future...You could solve that problem by adding another drive and dual booting.

I haven't given the game enough chance because I wasn't in the mood for a learning curve last time I tried it. I'm never in a learning curve mood when I'm in a chill, city-building mood. Anyway, yeah, wasn't fun right away. I'll have to give it like an hour go at least.

Quoting: tuubiThaaaaaanks for that. I think you missed the point. The point of my comment was to say that not everyone knows to translate the "super key" they see in a Linux operating system to the one with a Windows logo.Quoting: 14You could tell them, instead of being condescending.Quoting: mr-victoryNoobs don't know what the super key is.it even has a "Super" key instead of the standard Windows logo you get on most laptops as a great little added touchThey should have used a rocket as the super key, not a text that says "super".

Stolen private keys... So, if they were password protected, that would buy you time to make a new private key and revoke the old ones.

The trailer makes me feel like failure is inevitable. A game like that is one that I'd probably only try once or twice. Maybe I got the wrong impression.
