Something about the feel of this game has me way more interested than Space Haven. I want it really bad. If Space Haven comes out first, it will just be a stop-gap.

Norse-inspired fantasy survival game Valheim looks awesome

Quoting: razing32
Quoting: AkitakeThe main reason the game was pulled from itch.io is that it's not representative of what the game is currently, as it has stopped being updated years ago. People would get a buggy experience, very little content, get tired of it and move on.

Better to have people be patient and get the proper experience as devs intended, and continuous updates.

As for DRM free releases, it's a choice that's been made. Most gamers are fine with using Steam, even Linux gamers.
Pushing for DRM-free games is understandable, but, in my opinion, it's also unreasonable in this day and age when looking to make a living out of a product, especially as an indie-developper team of three.
DRM games as mentioned by Cybolic don't protect against piracy.
Often they harm the paying customer while the pirates play just fine.
Some DRM today is as intrusive as root kits (See Valorant and Black Desert Online)
Also DRM is how games die. Some games stop being playable , not because OS or way to emulate them but because the DRM servers are down.
If people want to pirate they will. What stops piracy is good service and convenience.
If i remember well the devs of Darkwood even put their own game on torrents because they rather people torrent it than buy it on grey market sites that cause legal/financial hassles for them.
Since we're talking about DRM, let's not forget that just because a game is on Steam doesn't automatically make it have DRM. IIRC, Stardew Valley and Starbound are two examples of games on Steam without DRM. RimWorld may be another.

Valheim looks somewhat promising. I played the Itch demo quite a while ago and found it really difficult to get started. It felt like it had a ways to go. I wish they'd release on Itch because I'd buy it there... but whatever. I don't hate Steam.

Colourful party game Aeolis Tournament launches July 16

I'm looking forward to this just because my friends have been playing more party games this year. I might get it right at release.

DRAG certainly seems like a promising upcoming racing game

If I can play this with my friends and there is enough content, I will pick it up at release. The graphics look nice and so does the car movement. We had fun with Dirt 4 for a while, but it felt like we ran out of gameplay and car variations to play. Dirt 4 doesn't let you choose any car class and let you race any course. You are locked in to certain courses depending on what car class you choose. What gives! It's a video game. Let me drive whatever course I want.

Quoting: mosa generic flashy shooter then. they've got it totally wrong judging by this vid.
nothing to see here...
Perhaps the trailer only showed action scenes and failed to capture suspense. But this is just a guess.

Supply Chain is a free game about understanding just-in-time supply chains

This reminds me of how long it takes for clothing to come from overseas. My mother taught me that one of the reasons outlet stores exist in the U.S. is because buyers (stores) order merchandise that takes months before it arrives. Once it finally arrives, it might be the wrong season for the clothes or maybe not enough of existing stock sold yet, so they send the excess or out-of-season clothes to outlet stores.

The whole idea of Manjaro is to let packages bake in Arch for a week or two first.

Interviewed - Veloren, an upcoming FOSS multiplayer voxel RPG

The timing of this article is pretty cool because I actually started going through The Book (Rust) so I could attach myself to the Veloren project and get past the intro stage of a programming language for once. I figure if I get involved with people and tasks that I'll be more motivated to learn.

Stadia Pro now has 17 games to redeem, with Elder Scrolls Online soon
6 Jun 2020 at 5:22 am UTC

Stadia is a hard sell to me so far. I played some Destiny 2 on it and it felt good. The quality didn't look any better than my PS4 though. It had a tiny blur look to it that I'm used to PS4 games having. But it was good overall. Since I do have a PS4, it would take a new game that I don't already own to come out on Stadia and look and feel better than the PS4 version (assuming it didn't run on Linux). That situation would have to continue happening over and over long enough that I stop upgrading my PC and console hardware because Stadia meets my performance and quality standards. And that's ignoring the fear of the service getting shut down after 3 years or so and losing all the games you bought, just like we've seen with always-online games that get shut down and have no offline/LAN capability. Again, the tech is neat and it works. It needs to be better than what I already have.
