The look and description does sound quite similar, doesn't it? Well, not as fancy as the release version, but still.

NetherWorld, an impressive looking and weird narrative pixel-art action game is coming to Linux

Very few modern day pixel art games look retro. Too many colours. To much going on on the screen. Real time lighting? Might as well do a little rotation after that.

SkateBIRD has flown past the Kickstarter goal, Linux demo now available

Quoting: liamdaweInteresting, they never seemed to note that in their driver release notes. Even so, frankly the normal workaround is quicker and easier to do. Adding NVIDIA driver profiles is not the friendliest of processes when the one we already know works is an easy copy/paste.
There is an environment variable for it. No need for profiles.

The current Unity version used has issues with NVIDIA, it's the graphical corruption bug I've reported on numerous times.
NVIDIA was adding an option to the driver to work around this issue. Hasn't this made it into the driver by now?
I assume you're talking about this, which was just another workaround and I've heard nothing since.
Exactly. It says in the nvidia forum thread that it was introduced in 418.30, no I would assume that this environment variable would be the better way to work around it for current drivers.

Extreme 3D space shooter 'Space Mercs' that's developed on Linux is sounding impressive

I remember there being a requirement to have at least a Windows version on Steam.

I did give the demo a quick try with my joystick, but it didn't quite feel right. Need to do some more testing and then give some feedback. It was impressive that it correctly recognised the buttons and axes of my flight stick.

Quoting: GuestI'm getting this when changing resolution; works well in 1920x1080 or in windowed mode for me.
You may try in windowed fullscreen.
Is that for base proton or with d9vk?
d9vk via proton
I tried a few versions of D9VK, but none of them looked right. Mostly lighting issues and the ones I mentioned above always remained.

I managed to fix the black dots when using wined3d by turning off FXAA. But found more glitches while playing around. All water is black. Some objects have terrible terrible textures. Stuff like that. Seems that D3D11 is a much better bet than D3D9 these days. Looking at D9VK with hopeful eyes.
