Quoting: ShmerlIt's good that Epic are involved, but it seems they aren't actively working on the Linux version of Unreal Engine itself.
Which is demonstrated by their new game that just got released. Support for Windows and Mac, but not Linux.

Kingdoms and Castles released with day-1 Linux support, some thoughts

Quoting: Guest@colombo : Oh, I now remember Epic/Runesoft also ported Knights & Merchants a couple of years ago (it was re-released on Steam), which is very similar to The Settlers too. But it really aged a lot, although for some reasons recent reviews are all positive :-)

They completely gave up on Linux though.
Did they ever really support Linux? The original Knights and Merchants port was done by LGP and I think the one on Steam is a Wine port that doesn't really require involvement from the devs.

Just gave it a try on 2.12 staging and it didn't even start.

I can't find it that specific myself it says "PC" on the news posts and "Steam" on the website, which is both rather unspecific. That said, being a UE4 game it wouldn't surprise me if they needed a little extra time to get mac and linux sorted.

The survival game 'Rust' has come a long way, I've completely changed my mind about it

Quoting: GuestYou get 90FPS on this game?!? What am I doing wrong? I tried to play Rust with a friend the other day and I was struggling to get 20-25 FPS with all my settings pretty much on minimum. 6700k, 16GB, GTX 970 4GB .. KDE Neon
Interesting. I experience the same low FPS on a GTX 970 regardless of settings. The must not like this gpu.

Dogma: Eternal Night, an in-development MMORPG already has Linux builds

Quoting: NanobangI hadn't even heard about this either, so GOL wins again!!
Then you missed something.

The thing with this game is that the videos are underwhelming to say the least. Nothing in there that makes me excited to play it. They have a lot of work ahead of them.

I tried it for one evening and never went back to it. Performance was a major issue and graphics settings changed very little. It was mentioned that this game is VRAM hungry, so apparently you really do need more than 4 GB of it to get it to perform.

Second problem. I spent the first hour looking for stone. Even though rock is everywhere, you can't use it because you have to find specific boulders that I only found in one small cave. Maybe I'm missing something, but that just seems weird.

Get ready to escape again, as 'The Escapists 2' launches next month, looks like it will be on Linux

This is how I like to see pixel art. Much more detail and colour but still with the charm of 2d pixel art.
