Neither have I. Been using nvidia since 2004 and all I can recall is one driver update mishap. Most issues seem to have come from compositors that tried to do things "smarter". But gnome (and compiz with the unity desktop) never gave me a big hassle.

Don't know how freesync operates, but for GSYNC it really doesn't matter if it is fullscreen or borderless fullscreen window. It's just that the compositor needs to decide to let go of its control. Something that a lot of compositors refuse to do. No idea if this is different for wayland though.

It's always a double edged sword. On the one hand you want developers to occasionally use their own product so they can be confronted with their own choices. However, if you let them to it, they would just do things in the way they think it should work and will never see the big issues. Somehow they need to be forced into a more real world scenario. So hopefully Unity has a good process for this.

Maybe that's why they don't hurry with the Linux version. Possibly they're just trying to make it available easier to combat that streamlabs thing, which is only for windows anyway.

One of the defining features of the demo was the absence of key rebinding. How is this in the full version?
