Looks like some proper madness. I'll be there for the native release! Might be a year out though, but at least you wouldn't have to wait for new episodes then. And they can make sure that their option to turn off chromatic aberration is working, because I don't think you can easily get rid of that through the config files like I sometimes do in UE4.

Massive respect to SCS for also serving a fantastic native port
Never tried it in VR. How is it? Does it have any special controls?

Been on Ubuntu for 18 years now. Had it ups and downs, but for the most part it's been reliable. Already installed this version two weeks ago in the hope it would fix a few issues I've had for a while. Didn't help and it turned out to be some of my own configurations that needed a change.

Quoting: scaineAnd sure, everyone loves to hate on snap, now that systemd is just an accepted thing - gotta hate on something, right?
Indeed. Still not happy about the forced snapping though. Switched my Firefox to the mozilla ppa. Never really got on the systemd hate bandwagon though. Never had a single issue with it. Something I can't say about my own configuration modifications. :D

Erik Wolpaw to Valve on Portal 3 — 'we should just do it'

I'd like the opportunity to by a native Valve game on the first day of release. Especially if it's Portal 3. With Half Life Alyx there was no opportunity to buy it and the Linux version wasn't there on the first day either.

Good thing I don't need their permission then.
I'm not sure to get your point...
The point is that nvidia is not free to ask whatever they want in their licence. Restrictions set by local law will still apply. There's also a minor detail that no Linux user ever sees or agrees to this licence.

Quoting: GuestThen I decided once again that Mutter wasn't for me (personal choice, I find it incredibly annoying because I can't alt+left mouse to draw a window, or alt+right mouse to resize it)
That's not a mutter limitation. Works fine in Gnome/X11. So it's either not configured or not working for Wayland. Wouldn't be surprised if it was just the configuration though since Gnome devs don't seem to like usability.

Mod is looking pretty good. Probably won't work on the native Linux version as is the case with most mods.

SteamVR is still a mess though. Current SteamVR beta seems to be broken for new(ish) native VR games. Older games and proton seem fine. Aside from async reprojection being broken for me, but that seems to be a system problem that I can't seem to fix.

The biggest problem I see in those screenshots is that they still haven't discontinued chromatic aberration.
