PipeWire is the future for Linux audio and I am sold on it

I rely on streaming the audio from my second PC to my main PC. Still not sure pipewire can currently do that transparently.

I checked my entire unsupported list for ones that aren't VR or anti-cheat problems. There are a couple there that have platinum ratings (no tinkers) on protondb and some are even native. Also weird is that Insurgency gets unsupported due to anti-cheat not being configured, but it has a native port that does work.

Quoting: Perkeleen_VittupääThis looks like a game that could easily be ported nowadays to Linux native..
You can't tell that by how it looks. If they have an old engine relying heavily on the Win32 API then it's probably harder then a new game which's engine supports Linux ootb.
SteamDB suggests that it's XNA. So it would likely work with FNA. With the added bonus that it's actually still supported.

Quoting: CatKillerAlso of interest is that HL2 gets the recommended_runtime: native attribute, unlike Portal 2 (currently).
Where can I look up such information?
Steamdb has it listed in the big information table.

Quoting: constWill try. There were a lot of graphical issues that sometimes made community levels unplayable before. Most notably with overlapping faces with opposite normals, which happened a lot with posters etc.
Most community maps seem to have some issues indeed. If it's not z-fighting or lighting problems, it's fps drops. Still good fun. Another, less annoying, issue is that you can often take items right from closed closets or chests if you look at them from the right angle.

Played a map called "Little Emily". Turns out that it is totally viable to upgrade this game to a full on horror game.

So did I. The DLC seems to be ok, it's the base game that is not. Especially Sanctuary was very prone to crashing.

Quoting: BielFPsBut I wonder how they'll handle cases like Borderlands 2 that, while having a "performant" native build, the last DLC can only be played through Proton.
BL2's situation is embarrassing to be frank. The port from Asprey runs really well but basically it's abandoned from the looks of it. Whether thats due to Gearbox or whomever I don't know. Could be the deal/license has run out as in the case with some of feral's ports.
BL2 default must be native. Because installing it with proton will install the HD texture pack which will cause out of memory crashes. You need to manually untick that DLC for it to be stable(ish). Default experience has fewer issues although proton can run double the fps.

Same.

And I still find it kind of incredible that one of the biggest changes was largely done by a single determined person.
