I've held off on testing the Vulkan renderer so far. Mostly because I've been busy with other things. But it looks like it's time to give it a spin again!

Still curious about this one. Kind of looks like an upscaled Rimworld. So count me in!

Feels a lot like HL1 with better lighting. Trailer doesn't really give me a good insight into the gameplay.

I find the visuals of this game to be very hard on the eyes. Cool to see an FPS game in Godot though.

The reason why I would want something like this is to get it to use proper fullscreen so vsync/gsync would work like it should. But this never seems to work for electron apps. I wonder if this is something that can be fixed.
Bringing together audio and video, PipeWire for Linux is really coming along

Not sure what "olden days" you're referring to, but it seems to me that the situation for default audio chipsets now is much worse than it was in soundcard days. The old wavetable cards had a whole stack of channels back in the 90s.
I'm hoping pipewire does things right. Pulse has some nice ideas, but a lot of practical issues. The main one is not having enough control over what it does. These sort of systems need a full gui to control it though. I have a setup where one computer connects to my main desktop to play audio. I've set that up maybe two times and as a result I don't remember the details and need to consult the documentation every time.

Quoting: LinasIn the olden days you could only play one audio stream at the time on Linux, because most sound cards only have a single hardware channel.

You're assuming there is a void to fill. To port games, you first need to have a deal with a publisher developer to port something. Looks like those may be in shorter supply these days.

I wonder if someone else will come along and fill their void?

In general I'm usually happy to go to Samsai's stream and watch him play these retro styled shooters the way they were meant to be played, after which I can go back to a game that's more in line with my skill set. But I have to admit that I'm highly tempted to try this one myself.
