And those who dare debate? well bans for them - "see how swiftly we dealt with the dissenters? please dont target us next..."
It's really disgusting that we've come to a place where the the only opinion your allowed to have is that of the most "oppressed" person in the room.
And if at anypoint you dare speak an opinion publicly? better remember the words "give me six lines written by an honest man, and I will give you a reason for him to hang" and the internet never forgets.

Quoting: SolitaryQuite disgusting, no second chances, no redemption, just remove him forever and do not return. People really did turn into judge, jury and executioners. If they weren't cowards they would just say it out loud that he should rather die and not exist anymore. Where is the respect or often mentioned tolerancy? :(From previous experiences - once the crybullies taste blood they will stop at nothing, and from there people everywhere will hoist the matching outrage banners out of fear of being the next target.

Quoting: MigwellI appreciate that you make these lists, with Linux games highlighted! I wonder if it would be useful to also include the proton score for the non-native games? e.g.As long as your going to look up the rating you may as well provide a link, as even gold rated titles often need launcher options :) and it's very little extra work
Low tier:
- Hue - native
- The Flame in the Flood - Proton Gold [External Link]
Middle tier
- Manual Samuel - native
- Table Manners - Proton Gold [External Link]
- When Ski Lifts Go Wrong - Proton Gold [External Link]
Upper tier
- Bomber Crew - native
- Space Crew - native
- For The King - native
- Autonauts - Proton Platinum [External Link]
- American Fugitive - Proton Silver [External Link]
- Narcos: Rise of the Cartels - Proton Borked [External Link]

The next AMD RDNA 2 card revealed with the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT

Given that the absolutely cheapest RX 6800 XT i could find locally ( ASUS Radeon RX 6800 TUF Gaming OC HDMI 3xDP 16GB ) retails for the equivalent of $970 ( in stock absolutely nowhere )
This would be retail for the equivalent of $716 ( ~600€ ) which is a good 200€ more than I'm willing to spend on a graphics card - I really hope this isn't the "affordable" RX 6000 card AMD have been teasing

Terraria for Stadia cancelled, due to Google locking the developer out
10 Feb 2021 at 5:58 am UTC
We used to use a shared corporate account to access the google services we use for the business, we were told that this was a bad idea exactly because what is described by our google rep. So now each individual service is run by separate accounts and we grant access to each employees corporate accounts as needed. This way is an employee account is compromised or somehow violates the ToS the damage is minimal.
Sure; if they ban the account that owns a service we loose access to that service, but as nobody is actually using it that seems very unlikely.
And I agree it does sound like it was his personal account ( making it even more strange it would be the sole access to their youtube account ), especially the bit with having spend 1000s of dollars makes it sound like yet another kid caught at cheating in fortnite  Basically the entire thing (to me) reads as if he knows he has done wrong but expected special treatment, especially because he admits hes been in contact but wont say what he was banned for.
Also if they will "no longer support any of your platforms moving forward" - why hasn't he told his publisher yet? because 505 is still selling it on googlePlay services :P
All in all it seems like a little too public tempertantrum

Quoting: GuestDue to the SSO nature of google accounts I don't believe you can be banned from just one of their services - but rather everywhere you use [email protected] to log in will be hit.Quoting: GuppyLove how you all jump to the conclusion that google banned him with out reason, and honestly why the h.. did only one account have access to their corporate google products? To be fair I never made that assumption, and indeed I've seen reporting elsewhere that is basically hate without reason.
However it's possibly, probably, not a corporate account. So that makes things more problematic for the individual, and unless it's a general account issue (from what I can tell, no it's not) then Google shouldn't block the entire account for ToS breaches on a single service. That's bad of Google, regardless of the actions of the individual, a reminder not to place such reliance on a single account, and a warning that you might be without realising it.

WINEPREFIX=<path to lutris-6> wine <path to Dungeonhaven.exe>
And run that?
29 Jan 2021 at 6:30 am UTC
Quoting: undeadbydawnIf anyone cares, I finally got Mortal Shell working today.Make a bash script with
1. I set up a new default Wine prefix called 'Heroic'
2. Set lutris-6.0 as default wine
3. Used 'Run exe inside prefix' to select Dungeonhaven.exe. The game then launches immediately.
step 3 has to be done every time.
I tried using GE proton for step 2 but it was game-breaking awful
If anyone has a better method, please share it
WINEPREFIX=<path to lutris-6> wine <path to Dungeonhaven.exe>
And run that?

OBS Studio 26.1 rolls out with Virtual Camera output on Linux

After spending quite a bit of time on google the only thing that comes close to explaining the "why" of virtual camera seems to be that you select it as a webcamera in zoom/teams/etc..
but I'm not sure why that's preferable to simply using the build in 'share desktop/window/chrometab' in those ?
What am I missing about this feature?
