I'd say it was pretty common nowadays for plenty of games companies to be at risk financially. In the case of big companies, they can close down non-performing studios (and keep on some of their better staff at other offices). In the case of small companies / indies, well if performance is not good then 'hard times' ahead.

Quite interested in your playing "any game you own" via GeForce NOW streaming service (e.g. The non-Linux-friendly game sellers - Epic, Ubisoft, Blizzard, Bethsaida) running in an Android Virtual Machine (with Qemu) on Linux. Would this system also allow playing Steam games that have EAC (e.g. Rust) to work without problem (other than performance)? Also, I'd be interested in a Setup Tutorial for this: I don't suppose you know of one, which is already out there on the internet? I imagine this would allow certain troublesome Steam Windows-only games to work on Linux that do not currently work with Proton.

Very tempted to get Dreamgate, as I loved both Slay The Spire and Fate Hunters. Currently it is at 20% discount on Steam (as I type this).

I've returned to playing 7 Days To Die, after a reasonable time away from it. I watch Youtuber Glock9's series where he plays 7 Days, and he recently started one called "Horde Every Night Ramblin Man [External Link]" and using the map seed "80085". I decided that I'd like to play on the same map myself, and also play at the same difficulty level "Warrior", so that as I watch the series I could see if I spot places in his game, that I recognised from my game.

Have to say, I was playing on "Nomad" difficulty before, and though that is pretty hard, I have new respect for Warrior level: I died about 5 times (and restarted the same map from scratch) because "Warrior" was really bad, particularly as you start off with no skills. Note that I consider myself an experienced player in this game after 100s of hours of play.

Glock9's series has had 3 episodes, so far (episode 1 is linked above). I've seen most of the places he has been exploring, in my own game play. Whereas he has played for 3 game days, I've played for 36 game days (so I've been in this world much longer, already). I am not playing like him: Horde Every Night - I'm doing 7 Day Hordes. Ramblin' Man - I'm building a Home Base and using Storage. Finding it very challenging at Warrior level.

I like this style of game, it's close to Quake deathmatch. However, watching some game play I'm not keen on the weapons and the way they work (i.e. the accompanying audio, animations, bullet tracks, etc).

Just want to say that I'm sorry I neither nominated nor voted on any of these games. I have a reason for that: It is that I don't play enough recent games titles or enough variety of games to feel I can make a good and meaningful contribution. The only contribution I feel I can make is when I've played a game for a decent amount of time, and then feel that it is worth recommending to others.

Hi. You can pause and/or continue when you like. If you were to pause the current February Choices Subscription today, you'd be able to continue it and select your February Choices tomorrow. If you pause it now, and leave it paused, then you'd miss the February Choices but when the March Choices become available, your Subscription would revert to being Active.

If your (February) Subscription is Active on the week prior to the new (March) bundle coming out, i.e. approx 25th of the month, then Humble is likely to add the (February) Bundle to your account - because you hadn't paused it early enough. I tend to make up my mind before 23rd of the month, i.e. Pause A Month (or not). Then I would miss the current (February) month and would not get charged for it.

To be clear, if you pause "today" and haven't selected any Choices, then the Pause will be in effect for this month's bundle (February Choices) and will revert to active for the next Bundle (March).

It's not new. Ubisoft has been using their Uplay game store client for selling and packaging their titles for years. I've seen most Ubisoft titles on Humble linking to the Uplay store. Similar to whenever I see "The Witcher 3" on Humble, it links to CDPR's GOG store (and not Steam). In each case, these games companies make available their games on Steam as well (so they don't lose customers who would only buy on Steam).
