Tower of Time, the rather good RPG had a big update to improve performance
26 Nov 2018 at 2:54 pm UTC

Quoting: EhvisI actually had to uninstall this game because it went into a reinstall loop on steam where it updating->verifying->updating->.... forever. Uninstalling and reinstalling it worked for a day and then it happened again. First (and last) time I had an issue like that with steam.
When that occurred, did you have free space under 10 gb or something?

Quoting: TheSHEEEPDoes anyone know what is planned to be version 1.0? Would that be "feature completion"?
0.93 doesn't sound far off, but of course, they might just increase numbers beyond 100.

Basically ; everything needs to be mainlined from distros POV. Out of the box DXVK compatible drivers in standart repos.

Oh boi.

Give them time to reply first before jumping into conclusions. Even if it turns out as a really broken release like Witcher 2 , don't bash them etc. Simply refund and don't look back.

Total War: EMPIRE and Total War: MEDIEVAL II just got Definitive Editions

Quoting: LakortaThe original Medieval is still called Medieval: Total War. I wonder why they didn't change that one too
Because it is already called Medieval Collection and has everything in it. On Medieval 2 , you could buy Kingdoms expansion as an add-on. They just merged it.

Quoting: aejsmith[Going by your PC info, you have a AMD GCN 1.0 GPU, in which case this should have been fixed by the game update last week. Do you still see it on the latest version?
Not yet. Maybe I'm trying it on weekend. Too busy with work as end of 2018 is getting nearer.
UPDATE: Already tried last night (my local time). Fixed the graphics but losing some FPS.

Here's a pictures:

Paris. This place/room always looks invisible before update.

FYI: I'm running low setting and 1536x864 resolution on HITMAN.

A quick question: Did you shelved Vulkan renderer in Hitman forever or it is an ongoing thing but not high on priority list?
Erm.. you asked me or aejsmith?
aejsmith of course. But as expected, he didn't reply.

Quoting: LeopardAfaik Toby Fox doesn't know coding thus doesn't know packaging as well if it is not provided by tool he uses.
So how did he release Undertale for Linux?
Afaik community helped him to do that.

Quoting: ShmerlWhat stops the developer from releasing for Linux, if the result is functional anyway?

At least a Discord user told me so ; not in a harmful way. As a simple fact.

it specifically mentions not to use the open source Nouveau driver for NVIDIA GPUs
That shows they actually tested it , rather than setting up a VM.
... How so? A VM can run Noveau too...
In a VM you don't need to deal with drivers. Just set up VM and boot the game in VM to see if at least game boots.

Many devs does that.

So that shows they also got curious how it performs as well and learned Nouveau is bad for performance.
