Microsoft is rumoured to be looking to buy Valve, EA and others

So that shows how beautiful GNU/Linux is.

No one can lockdown this system.

MS had their eyes opened wide at Windows 8 era.

MS: I'm producing this system and everythings runs on it. All software , games etc. Yet we're only selling licenses but with percentage wise ; these scumbag companies making much more money with less effort on our very own system. Our Windows is just a tool for them so if i start to unify all those services on my systems store ; i can make much more "easy" money. Let's change our way to rather than being monopol on OS wise , being monopol on services wise.

If this happens and Valve acquired by Microsoft ; i will consider to buy a PlayStation for gaming and stop gaming on pc.

Feral Interactive are teasing another Linux port, so that's two titles not yet announced

One thing to note ; i don't understand why they are referring releasing a GOG version as a reward?

People are buying it from there , you are not giving it away this game on there. You're just putting your build to another store ; at a price.

Reward term is irritating.
Kickstarter backers get a GOG key as a reward. It's like four years late but at least they finally delivered that.
Ugghh , disgusting practices.
No, it's just because people backing the KS were promised DRM free versions, so this is just them delivering on that. Nothing disgusting.
Disgusting part : Four years.

It's great that they want to release for linux. Thanks for making me aware.
I'll go buy it now. Will use the link in the article, hoping they give you some of the revenue for promoting the game.
1- ) Don't buy a game until it released on Linux , if you want to help Linux gaming scene.

2- ) Liam is not doing that , despite your usual gaming sites. If he shares some referral linked games he will let us know.

Reasons : Nvidia ( because of majority )

Not mature

Current games needs a mid-solution , Xwayland
It will be, but for a different reason. Because some games are tied to X. And as you said, XWayland will address those.

And Nvidia's majority will diminish, at the rate of people upgrading their GPUs, which is in several years.
For achieving that ; AMD needs better watt per performance which i don't think it will happen any time in five years.

Nvidia has a massive R&D budget for gpu's while AMD hasn't. They simply lagging one generation behind on watt-performance.

Another reason to ditch Nvidia. In a few years, Nvidia will be barely used on Linux. See the trend on the same page you linked to.

They've mentioned that players on both GOG and Steam versions will be able to play friends and join public games from their game client.
Well , you can't on GOG version because there is no platform equality on GOG.
Was about to say this myself. Without Galaxy on Linux how are GOG player supposed to play with Steam ones? (unless Harebrained is hosting their own servers).

Theirs may have been a blanket statement without knowing Galaxy on Linux is missing.
Yeah , i think they just made this statement generally , not specific to Linux.

Probably they're assuming there is a Galaxy Client for Linux.

A general tale of warning against relying on Steam multiplayer integration. This vendor lock in trap has prevented some number of titles such as Disco Dodgeball from being brought to GOG due to complications with multiplayer compatibility.
I think you misunderstood what i was saying.

GOG version will have multiplayer but via Galaxy Client.

Since there is no Galaxy Client for Linux (available for Windows and MacOS) , you won't be able to play multi. That isn't the case with Steam though. Steam is available on Windows , Linux and MacOS.
