They've mentioned that players on both GOG and Steam versions will be able to play friends and join public games from their game client.Well , you can't on GOG version because there is no platform equality on GOG.
The 'GPD Win 2' could be an interesting device for Linux gaming on the go

Quoting: RTherenI wonder if SteamOS would run on that thingIt can i guess; because unlike it is base Debian , SteamOS runs with a fairly new kernel and much more up to date Mesa drivers.
The Talos Principle updated with Vulkan improvements, OpenGL fixes and more, plus some benchmarks

Dx12 and Vulkan are both more difficult api's to dealt with ; when you compare them to Dx11.
But because of the high Windows 7 usage ; devs cannot move forward to Dx12 with ditching other api's. But on Vulkan , they can.
It is not limited to Win10 , despite Dx12 is.

Quoting: JahimselfAmazing tech support for this game. 3 and a half year after release they continue to update the game. I agree pete910. But for vulkan it is not that easy to optimize it. For the moment appart from Talos Principle and Ashes of Singularity, and doom 4 not so many devs have managed to push the api that far. Good decision though, the perfs are better and it will run better with lower end hardware due the good cpu core management. Also i want to add ; Wolfenstein 2 is a Vulkan exclusive title. It doesn't have OpenGL renderer unlike Doom 2016 has.

Quoting: Aurelieni7 7700 HQ , Gtx 1050 4 Gb.Quoting: PeciskTheir current version for Linux is very playable, I feel even performance have been improved.Oh then i have to test one more time against my config.
I couldn't play much because of performance on my [email protected] (Core i7 4th quad, GT750, 16Go, SSD).
I did not follow the progress on this game but did you see better performance when they upgraded Unreal Engine or did they work on optimizations ?

Steam hits another record of over 18.5 million concurrent users online

I don't think they would port it to MacOS either because they can't provide performance with it.

Quoting: EhvisHe is not considering Linux as a platform i guess. Next targets for them would be PS4 and Switch. The list fluctuates of course and it would be better if PUBG supported Linux, but sadly that feels like a dream right now.Wasn't it the ceo who said they want to bring pubg to every platform conceivable? I'm pretty sure he did not have Linux in mind, but you could try to hold them to that. :D

Quoting: AnanaceOh wow, I didn't think it would be possible for me to be happier with Jackbox Games.Buy another one and gift it to some Linux user friend you know?
I don't suppose anyone knows if they have somewhere where you can just arbitrarily throw money at them? Already own the packs in question after all, so hard to show my appreciation through that.

This cult classic and in the shadow of the popular title NieR Automata saw major improvements to graphics this month thanks to a combination of different fixes by kd-11. Previously it had broken lighting, wrong colors, and sometimes missing graphics. All of this is fixed now and, at least at a glance, the game looks just fine. In fact, performance is improved as well and it is certainly possible to basically perform like a real PS3 in the range of 20 – 30 FPS at this point, given a modern CPU with AVX 2 and TSX support. Except this is only partially true. See, the above screenshots were taken on Linux, and the game indeed performs as shown there. However for the same user with the same hardware, and really everyone else too, performance is only about a third of this on Windows. This was investigated by kd-11 but no conclusions could quickly be drawn as to why this is the case. In general RPCS3 performs roughly the same on Windows and Linux, though it is known that some games can run a few percent faster on Linux due to the nature of the operating system. That there is such a massive difference in Nier is unexplainable for now though.A glorious moment.
Joking aside , i hope they can fix the Windows side.
Ultraball, a free multiplayer sci-fi action sports game will be coming to Linux

Quoting: MayeulCIt reminds me of some other games, such as speedball 2: tournament, for example, or blood ball (none of which are on Linux, sadly, so hopefully this will fill the niche).Unreal Tournament is not id's though. It belongs to Epic.
Now, I feel an urge to play bombing run on ut2004, somehow... :D
(be sure to add the ut collection to your wishlist, so that id can see there's a demand for it on Linux !)
The Steam Hardware Survey for December 2017 shows a reasonable increase for Linux

I installed Win on it , then installed Geforce Experience. When i installed and opened Steam i got a survey. I closed it of course.
When i get gift and added it to Steam , i installed Mint on it and deleted Windows. I installed Steam and i didn't get a survey.
Then i had this problem and Feral suggested me to install Ubuntu , to see if that makes a difference.
https://github.com/FeralInteractive/ferallinuxscripts/issues/6 [External Link]
With Ubuntu , i didn't get a survey too , my problem appeared on Ubuntu too and because of i don't like Ubuntu ( although i'm using Mint ) i wiped Ubuntu and installed Mint again.
I didn't get a survey again. So i installed two Linux distro and didn't get a survey , i installed Windows only once and got a survey.

Quoting: GustyGhostI don't think so because i bought this laptop 4 months ago. I wanted to install Windows 10 on it because of Nvidia Geforce Experience Rocket League gift.Quoting: LeopardI didn't get a single survey in 2017 , got one on 2016.In my experience, you get them often if you constantly build and change computers, test hardware configurations, reinstall OSes. Something about big sweeping changes probably, but I could be wrong.
