What kind of devs we are dealing with?

I finally got a test build for Linux, if anyone wants to try it. (I don't have a Linux system so I have no idea how well it works.)I bet putting a Linux installation to a machine for testing it must be very hard.

Quoting: AnxiousInfusionI don't know if it's running better now because of patches, or because I finally abandoned that godforsaken fglrx.Probably because of the dropping fglrx.

Feral Interactive are teasing yet another Linux game

Feral can keep that way , doing ports of same genres over and over again. I was buying nearly every Feral title to just for support , even that i don't have time to play them. I think that is enough. I can live without some strategy games , i won't buy until something fresh comes out to the Linux side.

Quoting: rea987Have you tried to understand my statement ; these are most needed genres on Linux and these games are succesful.Quoting: LeopardDoom , Skyrim and Witcher 3 titles are so desperately needed. Well, they're more mainstreamed and well known titles. Shogun and DoW are not so helpful to Linux.Have you bothered checking Feral's contracted publishers recently or ever? Are you aware that Bethesda does not work with third party porters? Did you you notice CD Project Red's games are Direct3D exclusives to the point only eON wrapped got around with it, once. You are claiming that Linux needs fast paced shooters; did you know that before 2012, majority of known Linux supported titles are id Software and Epic's fast paced shooters?
Wishing amazing titles like Doom (2016) is okay but bringing that one and Skyrim in every Feral news is pointless. So, I suggest you to stop expecting Linux ports of Bethesda titles; instead asking titles of Sega, Square Enix, Codemasters, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, 2K Games would be more realistic.

Quoting: seguleh@Leopard: maybe not... Maybe not. I really don't like RTS, finding them boring, so if its DoW or Shogun - no fun for me. Even mentioned Skyrim would be nice surprise (as I prefer S-F than fantasy :D).We need more than strategy titles, we need open world rpg's and fast paced shooters so badly.

Like you said ; DoW 3 is for the people who have certain criterias.
We need a fast paced popular fps. Which is Doom.
We need open world hits ; like Skyrim and Witcher 3. Linux gaming came to a certain level but from now on ( if we want to grow) we need more mainstreamed and much more popular games like these ones.
Linux gaming is not having a problem with ; indies , rts genre , strategy genre ( like Medieaval or Attila).
Linux gaming lacks of ; open world rpg's , fast paced shooter , sports games . Well , i'm not interested with that DoW title. I was buying nearly every Feral Port to just supporting them but not anymore. I mean i'm glad that we have Tomb Raider , Hitman , Dirt Rally and these games were good but Feral is just porting same games over and over again with that way.

Quoting: rustybroomhandleWell , we need other genres with native ports. There is no point of insisting at the same genres.Quoting: LeopardHey, I like RTS games, but the thing with DoW3 is that it only seems like something one would enjoy if a) you enjoy multiplayer, and b) if you are not a big DoW fan who wanted a game like previous DoWsQuoting: wleoncioWhy are we still speculating after a comment on the very first page pointed us to this [External Link]?Because mostly we don't want it to be DoW 3 and with still speculating we're trying to express our true expectations from Feral.
Linux: Rts, rts everywhere.

Quoting: BeamboomI get Doom vibes. The lava glow in the Feral letters at the end there? Lot's of lava in Doom. The weapon is of course the chaingun.Ahh , that would be great.
Please please... Let it be Doom.
