Quoting: Perkeleen_VittupääI suppose they could market it as a retro gamers delight or something similar.
It would need to cost less than pi though to do that

Well yeah they are crap now but back then when all you had was software mode for gaming on pc which ran like ass, I still remember buying the Orchid 12mb 3d graphics card with the pass through to my shitty ass 2mb savage graphics card. It went from nothing having edges in 3d to everything smoothed out it was amazing. I mean now even the gt 210 is better than those cards but back in day it was like having a rtx 2080ti.
Ha, I was a quality pig, so had my Matrox Millennium 2 and a Pure3D 6mb Voodoo 1 card initially. Then eventually started upgrading to a Voodoo 2, and then when they got 3d integration, went with the Matrox G200 on up to the Parhelia... shame they eventually lost to the green and red guys, but the blue team invented multi-display setups, and that's still what they focus on.
Nice I remember the matrox cards my step brother had one i think the savage card i had was a hand me down from him, i was watching an lgr video on yt and he showed the box for midtown madness i think it was there were at least six different apis around back then that just do not exsist today. Back then if you made the wrong call on a graphics card you were screwed and doomed to software rendering.

Psyonix are ending support for Rocket League on both Linux and macOS (updated)

Quoting: gojulGot refunded by Steam, but oddly not for the DLCs, just the original game.
Quoting: qptain Nemo
Quoting: Guest...not to mention the item store purchases (which I know are impossible to refund)
Are they impossible to refund?
Not impossible but more difficult the issue it is way more likely that you will get the base game price back but if you sunk anything into dlc you wont be getting that back. The same thing happened when warhammer online collaspsed back in 2015 i got my game price back but not the 15 quid i spent on in game store.

Need a new game? There's big sales on Steam and Humble (plus a free Crusader Kings II DLC)

Do you guys have full wishlists i struggle to find anything in the sales, anything i really want i already have I have 3 games on my wishlist and truthfully the only reason have not pulled the trigger on them is because even with the sale discount they are not priced at what i believe they are worth. That said may pickup Doom as its less than a fiver and everybody keeps raving about it.

Quoting: Mountain ManWe're still niche, and that's a problem. Developing for Linux is more attractive than ever before, but we're still a tiny percentage which makes long-term support a problem for many studios.
Yes that is certainly true what i would take from this is if its multiplayer only dont buy it a single player game is fine they stop selling it you can keep playing it they cant un linux the version you have but as we saw with rust it is possible to kill off linux support without too much notice. To be fair they are aleast offering refunds but am sure that wont include any skins you bought to support the game.

We are in a strange era here right Proton has made it too easy for studios of all sizes to go fuck it dont bother let valve support the game if works great if not meh buyer beware. What concerns me about this is when the studio needed linux they were boom update boom update when they got mainstream and got Epics attention it was linux whats linux.
