Quoting: ShmerlSome new DRM-free releases as well for Wine. Never heard of Mars: War Logs [External Link] and Technomancer [External Link], but they look interesting.Technomancer has a decent story combat rpg the combat is not very strong but its got some depth, its a spiders game so it has bugs and performance issues. It is def a niche game but if you like spiders others games (bound by flame & of orcs and men)worth checking out for the price as its 14.99 on steam

Quoting: Liam DaweNo but at the same time saying confirmed without actually being released and I know you go with the information you have my view is until its actually released its not coming to linux its just the way we get treated because of the market size.Quoting: Whitewolfe80Well I don't know what you're expecting me to say or do? Ignore every developer who says their game is coming?Quoting: Liam DaweI hear what your saying but how many times have you heard confirmed only to hear sorry guys linux is just too hard or our linux guy left so it wont be happening now pheonix point bloodstained etc etcQuoting: antisol"We will look into Linux after the console launches" is enough to get you on a list of games coming in 2019?? When I see a quote like that I read it as: "There is almost definitely not going to be a Linux port".Yes because they've confirmed Linux multiple times, it has always been coming to Linux (original post and that quote is just the latest Timeline on when.

Quoting: Liam DaweNo its not because showing as a linux title means if you excuse me f**k all to game studios that are completely unwilling to even entertain a linux port Bethesda EA Activision Ubisoft etc etc. Yes just like they picked up rust knowing it was supported then the devloper changed their minds and poof gone steamplay only and it will keep happening unless the market share grows to a sufficent point. I think we are going to have to agree to disagree on this as you are clearly far far more positive than i am I feel we are always dealing from a postion of weakness when it comes to getting native games to linux. (I mean triple a games we will always get the niche games)Quoting: Whitewolfe80So to you, buying a game with Steam Play in mind is not supporting Linux gaming? Even though it shows as a Linux sale? Curious.Quoting: Liam DaweThe flip side to that is it makes better business sense not to do anything as the majority of people talk a good game about supporting linux gaming yet at the same time they are playing Doom 2016 fallout 4 etc which have no linux friendly policies.I hope for more native games but am thinking this is going to be become more and more common.Quoting: rkfgI have a feeling that as SteamPlay becomes more and more reliable this situation will become common. I wonder what Valve would do if anything at all.If it does and Valve do nothing it's going to seriously erode some trust.
Also, you're mixing two completely different situations together.
NS2 players picked it up as it was supported.
F4 and Doom buyers do so *knowing* they are not supported.

Quoting: scaineReckon I'll give Fallout 4 another shot to see if they've improved the mouse capture in that game.I play that with 360 pad as i figure its an action rpg rather than a shooter so more console like but i get if people have to play with keyboard and mouse.

Quoting: 14Tried Endeavor last week still wip a few issues but there is def potentiallyQuoting: pbProprietary office suite? Software store? I thought Manjaro was just arch with more conservative approach to packages, but it seems that it's to Arch something like Ubuntu to Debian? I'll stick with the vanilla distro, thank you very much. ;-)Not trying to sound like a snob, but I've been feeling the same way the past few weeks about Manjaro. I may reinstall the kids' computers with the Architect ISO next time. Even then, I'm not sure. Using installer helpers for Arch is not supported, but that might be my next step... I'm also watching EndeavorOS to see what they're doing.
