Stadia gets The Elder Scrolls Online free on Pro, Premiere Edition price cut

Quoting: drlambAnd if I don't have a computer or device capable of playing ESO?
This is such a lame argument. If you don't have hardware able to run that you can't use the bandwidth needed to stream it either. A good gigabit connection needs a beefier PC than the minimum requirements of ESO. (not even mentioning the hefty prices of capable routers)
So you need a PC to play ESO on Stadia on a phone? Good to know. Gigabit can be handled by a raspberry Pi.

25 10Mbps [External Link] Internet connection (Wired or Wireless) + an android phone is all you need for Stadia.

Quoting: MohandevirLooking forward to the day when the Stadia app will be available on all Android TV boxes. In my case, my Nvidia Shield is where I would like to run it.

This game seems nice, my kids will enjoy it for sure.
There have been reports [External Link] of people side-loading the app and enabling Shield-compatibility via the new "Experiments" option. Not official support, but a step closer.

Quoting: ZeroPointEnergyI don't get the convenience argument. I own ESO on Steam. Push install, wait a little, push play. Works perfectly without any issues.
And if I don't have a computer or device capable of playing ESO?

Quoting: ZeroPointEnergyI also don't get the constant call for native clients. Do you really think they would do a good job and properly support it? There is zero downsides to using Proton here. We will get enough native games when Linux is actually competitive as a market for selling games.
This is exactly what Google is doing. The upside to the Stadia port is now the developers of ESO have Linux/Vulkan experience.

One step closer to my ultimate pirate destruction sim dreams. Imagine sailing around in a proper ship besieging a fortress on an island hill...makes me some type of way.

As someone who loves Anno 1602/Age of Empires the one thing that seems "off" to me about this trailer is the scale of people in relation to buildings. They're giants! What are those, dwellings for ants?

Quoting: hiryuDoes anyone know if AMD has something like Nvidia Optimus?
While not exclusive to AMD, GPU switching should work out of the box with vgaswitcheroo/PRIME.

It also doesn't appear that Clevo makes a Ryzen-APU powered machine yet. There are leaks of benchmarks for models containing the Radeon 5600M so it's only a matter of time.

Quoting: omer666I thought it was only for wireless desktop mice though, not gaming peripherals, like my MX518 Legendary. Either way, never had a problem with it. My former Rival 300 had to be updated because it froze 1h after boot.
Correct, there are only limited devices supported [External Link] right now, but any effort is better than this:

Quoting: gradyvuckovicThis is exactly the kind of thing Linux needs to encourage more gamers to make the switch to Linux.

Next we just need a universal app for managing your devices, like headsets, keyboards, mice, for changing hotkey mappings, RGB lighting, DPI settings, etc.
I'd rather not have a "universal app" for doing all of that but I agree with you otherwise. I use Piper [External Link] for my mouse settings/RGB lights and have been keeping an eye on OpenRGB [External Link] should I feel the desire to turn my motherboard RGB lights on (but it also supports keyboards/mice/other devices!).

I know there are specific tools for Razer/Corsair mice but as far as I'm concerned I'd rather have the application support as many models as possible. Unless Razer/Corsair/others start contributing their firmware to the LVFS [External Link] I'm unlikely to switch away from Logitech. It's awesome to see my mouse firmware get updated via a normal system update.
