Dang, I was hoping to pick this up as a gift for a friend that LOVED the crazy taxi series.

It's one thing to use mods on a single player world/server. It's another to play on a server in which not everyone is using them and unfortunately all it takes is one or two players boasting about their "hammer of freezing" that they're able to throw like a boomerang to sour the experience for vanilla players. I want to survive together as a group of Vikings not a group of Vikings with literal viking superheroes amongst us.
You can try to agree on what mods are "agreeable" to use but that requires trust. My mod will enforce it.

Quoting: fabertaweMods actually killed my group's motivation to play, so much so that I started writing a mod that will only allow that one mod and MAYBE some select QoL mods (ala anti-cheat) on my server instances going forward.

Do you plan to release SteamOS as a standalone, general-purpose operating system?https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/steamdeck/faq [External Link]
We definitely plan on releasing SteamOS as a separate operating system. We don't have exact timing on that. We're really focused on making sure that Steam Deck is a great experience, and we'll release it for other hardware soon.

Demo runs like a dream for me Maxed out (1440P) using radv, not that it shouldn't. I'll absolutely be grabbing this when it launches.

So some notes about your footage. You were playing "bounty hunt" which by default is 12 players with teams of up to 3. You can opt out of trios if you have a second but you were basically signing yourself up for pain there.
Quick play is the more typical solo "battle royale" style game mode.
(Hunt: Showdown is my favorite multiplayer game and this was the last game keeping my Windows partition alive)

Wolfenstein (2009) sticks out in my mind.

Quoting: dpanterSteam ended pirating games for me, that was a big thing. :whistle:Same, though I'll always be fond of the hours spent tinkering in PlayOnLinux/Lutris whilst digging through the WineHQ forums trying to get the latest cracked games working. Essentially my middle/high school experience.

I installed plasma for you but no, the cursor is not visible there either (enabling the software cursor works). I'm not the only one [External Link] so I'll double check a bug hasn't been filed already.
*Even the Witcher 3 enhanced seemed to run fine under DX12 but appeared to have a floor texture bug. More investigation needed.
Edit: I really notice the GPU performance uplift in Valheim (vulkan). Not the typical open world but in areas with lots of terraforming and buildings.
Edit 2: Until mutter supports VRR I've switched to a Plasma wayland session as my default. Freesync is working as expected. I should also note this isn't exactly stock Fedora. It's Fedora 37 with Rawhide's (so Fedora 38 currently) no-debug kernel (currently 6.2.0-0.rc4.31.fc38.x86_64).

Quoting: ShmerlIn every DX11/DX12/Vulkan game I've tried thus far, yes*. Before commenting back I fired up the oldest game I currently have installed for shits and giggles, GTA IV.

Edit: The 7900 XTX is lovely, other than the fact I can't see my cursor under X11. Still don't need a CPU upgrade though.

I do hope I’m wrong as I’d love an atomic purple deck.

Quoting: PenglingAlso, I notice that the big ugly logo from the first one is absent here, and it looks so much better as a result. :tongue:While they may be absent from the renders I imagine the logo will be present on the finished design.
