Logitech Steering Wheel manager pyLinuxWheel has a big new release out

The hardware may work, but that's because of the Linux community not because of Logitech. You'll also won't get official support from them.

Type Linux into the Logitech forums and you'll see what I mean. About 50 pages of them either dodging all the questions or flat out saying official Linux support isn't happening. They have no interest in officially supporting Linux.
I think the firmware update support (fwupd) is official and driven by Logitech.

Okay thanks. Do you have any recommendations which peripheral companies have official + good Linux support?

Quoting: RaymondTerrific Logitech HATES Linux. Logitech wants nothing to do with with Linux. Please don't give Logitech money.
Please elaborate so I can re-evaluate my current opinion and behavior.

I mean the support hasn't been perfect (Windows-only GUI customization tool), but the hardware works okay for me under Linux and them officially supporting FWUPD project [External Link] seems like a great thing.

Quoting: KorsI would love to buy many steam controllers, sadly they are too expensive to import here in Brasil.
Hypothetically you can use one of those crowdsourced delivery services. Maybe they will even evade import taxes for you (pretend like no import is taking place - that it is a personal possession that will return to country of origin). I haven't used any of them myself. So I also don't know anything about this [External Link] specific one.

I just buy double of the games we actually play a lot with my SO. And I use family-sharing for the games I might try, but not play much. If I start playing them a lot (risk of locking the account up), I will buy my own. Or I might gift it to a poorer family member. But this the privilege of my background - poor family, but still in a EU country with not-terrible social security and decent job opportunities.

But as life gets more busy (in a good way), I have less time and interest for gaming and I haven't locked up my Steam library in a few weeks. Not that gaming cannot be healthy or desired, just not as much for me currently.

Quoting: DesumOh? Alright then~
I don't mean to intrude on your conversation which is over, but if either of you have some links to some videos or articles or podcast episodes or something which to some high degree overlap with your complicated but interesting-sounding views on the copyright system, then I might appreciate links (private or public). Not insisting though. Also don't easily forget to value your time and give it away to internet strangers who might not even watch your link. :)

Quoting: subAnyone else got his Steam Controller purchase just cancelled?

Valve just sent me a refund right now without further explaining the case.

WTF?
If anyone else is as confused as me about where the thread about this has disappeared to - the same topic was on a different post.

Quoting: chrI saw the "buy" button green (with no "out of stock") message for me 5 minutes ago in Estonia (with 15 eur for shipping). But by now it is out of stock again.
Someone has to write a sniper application for this. :D
I bet 30 people have written a script to buy it asap by now. :D

Could be worse, here it costs R$450,00 (used of course)
Sorry, neither DDG nor Google is being helpful in this. What currency is that? Also I presume "450,00" is 450 money units, but I wouldn't be surprised for cultural differences and 45000 actually.

As a former long-time League of Legends player who quit over lack of Linux support (and rampant sexual objectification and sexism in character design; and toxic community; and addictive tendencies of players I know) this sounds a bit inviting. Making the game slightly more accessible hopefully. As well as creating more of a difference with alternatives (not just LoL with different characters and abilities and metagame to memorize).

If only I had any free disk space and too much time...
