So if your ever going to release a Steam Controller 2, then releasing one at the same time as when you release

the Seam Dock (deckard?)
and Steam 3.0 for the PC

and with the copy cats coming out trying to emulate what Valve are doing with the SteamDeck, maybe one or two will have another go with the PC too.

Looks cool..

So will this play like Pirates?

Already have an open source version of civilisation, so I guess Pirates should be next.

Quoting: soulsourcePSA: I had to learn the hard way that "Steam Deck Verified" does not mandate any gamepad support. As long as the game is playable with touchpad/touchscreen, it can get the green checkmark.
Any Controller??

Think you might need to look again.

Steam Controller should have better success than either XBox controller or PlayStation controller, as the config should be directly mappable to the SteamDeck controls, should just work out of the box in the same way as Steam Deck controls.

Plus you have community configurations. Touchpad should just work with right pad.

Is there any way of playing Counter Strike solo?

Would love a single player campaign mode.

Only thing I had against it.

Still notice that the unsupported games in my library are full of disappointments.

Who wouldn’t love to play Elite Dangerous on their Steam Deck?

Mojang sounded fairly committed to their Linux client before Microsoft bought them out.

Oh well, first Scype, then MineCraft.

Another Linux friendly product destroyed by Microsoft. Microsoft now loves Linux !!

Quoting: CheesenessAnother thing to note about this game was that it was made on Linux (the lead developer uses Ubuntu).

Quoting: Craggles086failed to comprehend that UP was Thrust.
This is only when "classic mode" controls are enabled - I don't think that's the default?

Quoting: Craggles086Starting again I finally realised that left stick was not just steering but also thrust, which I hate
Enabling "classic mode" might be what you're after then, but the previous comment suggested you were already using that? Here's both for reference.

The speedrun options screen also allows in-game dialogue to be turned off if you hadn't spotted that (unless you're referring to the 40 second scroll only the opening of the first level that can be over in about 5 or so if you hold down the fire button - I don't think anything lets you further skip that).
Thanks, classic control setting seems to be working better for me.

Did add left and right steering to the left stick in the steam controls configuration.

So I had more complaints about Ubuntu's use of Snaps then I ever had of Mir.

Ubuntu put some early work into Wayland if I remember correctly before Wayland was on anyones radar, before they decided that Mir was more suited to their purposes.

Would have been nice to see more support for Mir on the desktop from the open source community when Mir and Wayland looked like they were competing against similar goals. Good things have come out of a bit of competition, even in the open source community. Just look at gnome vs kde.

As far as Ubuntu being the source of the NIH philosophy, wasn't SystemD a bit of NIH from the Fedora / Redhat team, and now it is incorporated throughout most of Linux?
