one would think that the typical Linux-User and Meta are about as incompatible as it gets ;)

Quoting: IperpidoMaybe it could convince Meta to add Linux support in the future... (i don't see this happening anytime soon, if ever, but who knows)

Yeah i bought it because it was said to be working well out of the box, too ;)
It wouldn't connect properly in switchmode and constantly vibrate (and not work in some games) in PC-mode.
I've already narrowed it down a bit (thanks to the awesome xpadneo dev, too: https://github.com/atar-axis/xpadneo/issues/391 ) that is has something to do with interference from xpadneo.
So when you don't have xpadneo installed (that i need for my xbox series controller though) and connect via switch mode, it indeed seems to work fine from short tests. Connected in PC mode without xpadneo (so using hid_microsoft module) works fine, but has no vibration. And xpadneo loaded with a quriks flag (for disabling rumble in the triggers as far as i understand) gets rid of the constant vibration, still has no vibration in games though and makes it so some games don't pick it up at all...
Very strange all in all ^^

Quoting: RavenWings@Termy & 1xok: Would be very interresting to know if they updated to a newer Delta without the whine.

Interesting - apparently, i've got the Delta fan?! I'm either lucky with the fan or too old to hear that high pitched whine it seems

ig as soon as you charge money for it there will be something against that in the license

Quoting: MilesWhile it's ethically sus, is that illegal or even against any of the game's open source license or Steam agreements/rules?

Of course - i just did.
Really annoying that scumbags like this exist.
It's not just ripping the devs of, but damaging the project in multiple ways.

As the project lead writes in the Steam forums:
QuoteI'm the project leader of this game and I'm saddened I wasn't consulted for this. There are reasons 0 A.D.: Empires Ascendant is not on steam yet.
Making it available here as implications on the moderation and the server load of the lobby and its limited resources that should not be taken lightly. It also has some implications for the future of the game concerning reviews which could doom its opportunities. The project is not done yet and it will continue to evolve.
If you use PolyMC for Minecraft you should switch away now

You could probably classify 'removing all other contributors from the repo' as a political drama - for me, it disqualifies that person from being trustworthy enough to handle a foss-project.

Quoting: GuestDo I understand that correctly, we should stop using soft cuz dev removed Code of Conduct, or there is another reason than political drama?

What a shame. But after a quick glance, atlauncher looks quite nice, never heard of that before!
I guess that is the reason for the latest commit that updates the MSA Client ID
But yeah, i wanted to remove polymc from the authorized apps and it wasn't there anymore, so i'm impressed microsoft reacted so quickly!
Quoting: KohriasSeems like Microsoft is blocking polymc now. Existing MS accounts in polymc went into status "expired" and trying to register a new MS account does not work.
