But the mob damage is not really the problem, at least when it comes to trolls. For large parts of the game, their damage is frightening. Can easily kill you in one or two hits.
Especially in combination with shaman poisons.
However, it is relatively easy to just run away from them and pelt them with arrows.
What is frightening is the enemies not actually going for you, but for your cart/boat/etc. I think that could be emphasized a bit more - make them go for your stuff more often while you are out adventuring. And announce it, of course, so you actually have a chance to react and not just find your ship smashed when you come back.

Quoting: slaapliedjeQuite true.Quoting: jthillSeriously. Once you get up in gear, you end up just going on a punching spree, just for amusement.what are you hoping for in the next content updateI'd like more challenging mobs. Not necessarily more aggressive, there's a lot to be said for the long peaceful interludes, but when a mob or a gang of mobs decides I'm the bad guy I'd like to be frightened. "Find your A game or get killed" s/b a thing. And a mass assault on your base should be terrifying.

It's not realistic to expect all items to remain useful throughout - no survival game has that, really.
A filter to not automatically pick some things up would also help.
My partner and me often end up picking up what the other person has just thrown away

Quoting: NezchanI would say that the lack of recipes for items you get a lot of (troll hide, bone fragments, maybe something to do with tree seeds?) is probably my biggest issue with the game. You end up just throwing away a lot of material, and that doesn't feel good. So having things you can make with all these extra bits that you quickly outgrow the need for would be nice.I'd settle for being able to throw things you don't need into a furnace as fuel or something similar.

But it does say single-player on the Steam page, so I suppose multiplayer isn't a requirement at all.

Quoting: Purple Library GuyI like the look, it's cute. I'm more of a single-player kind of guy, though.Same.

He made really bad comments on topics he didn't know much of anything about - on a public space.
Like... stuff that makes casual N-wording seem innocent (IMO).
But it was so odd and so out of touch, it's easy to see how if that wasn't edgy satire, he simply didn't know any better (and his general social awkwardness is well known, not all people are aware of all things social), so an apology and quite a loss of power is fine.
Of course, to the cancel and outrage mob, an apology and sensible consequences is never enough and once they smell blood, they'll keep at it until the target has been properly removed from society or they get bored and move on to their next ritualistic public hanging.
It definitely speaks against the FSF that they were unaware about the uproar this would cause in modern times.
But their handling of the situation - from not letting a member getting cancelled to seeking to improve their structure to prevent further similar incidents, it's all just very level-headed - definitely made me a supporter.

Quoting: tomaszgSad he had to apologize. It's only encouraging more attacks of this kind on other people.Well, he did something that one should actually apologize for. It's not one of these situations where some bored blue checkmark dug up some ancient tweet or forum post, removes all context and starts going on a crusade for virtue currency.

I'm always very sceptical about "free" games.
But I see no MTX here or anything.
How are the developers planning to raise money - or is this more of a hobby project?

Amnesia: Rebirth gets an adventure mode for more thrill and less heart attacks

Though I do agree that a few of them felt like they were really dragging it out.
For Amnesia, I really don't get the need for it, though.
The light sources are ample unless you light every single torch on your way, dying is inconsequential (I died a bunch and wasn't locked out of any ending), ...
Anyway, for this kind of game, I don't have a problem with story modes existing.

Quoting: Luke_NukemHonestly I wish the Nu-Dooms had mode slike this too. Endless arena combat with waves is tiring. It's only endless if you die... and you know what the solution to THAT is
